I always adore your reviews! You show so many features that are sometime overlooked IMO. The Cassie is one of my all time favorite handbags because it carries so much without being bulky. I also love the top handle! You make such a good point saying it’s great to grab when getting in/out of the car. In my years of collecting handbags, I have found my preference for crossbody bags to have top handles to grab just so that when I get out I can straighten out the long strap-I’m just fussy that way lol! When I began my career in NYC in the 1980s, Coach was known for introducing "briefcase" type crossbodies like the Court and Station bags. I have always thought that the LV Metis is inspired by the Court bag. But, and this is a big but, I also think that LV took the general design to the next level by creating segmented compartments with the Metis. So while I think that the Court is the inspiration for the Metis, I also think that this Cassie model is a dupe for the Metis. The artistic influence came full circle from Coach to LV and then back to Coach. (Hope I'm making sense here!) I own Coach's and LVs, so I love them all.
I own this in the black leather. The inside is fabric that is a dark maroon-ish color. It truly does fit a lot. With the leather if you don't fill up the spaces it looks "flat" so to speak. So I had room to carry everything I could want to take with me. I own the LV; Favorite MM and Eva. So now that I own this one from Coach in Black, I think I just saved myself a ton of money and quality issues by not purchasing the LV Pochette Mattis. I see that the UK has colors Coach in the USA doesn't offer. I want the Beechwood color now. I would have waited for the price too to go down, but I wanted to make sure I didn't get someone else's return that they handled. (I'm just picky that way.) Mine came nicely packaged from the factory still. Love the review, and happy you found that little extra hidden pocket (I use it to place my card case inside it.) Katie C. Von Maur has the Cassie in a beautiful beechwood with suede. Also, you may know, Coach has the Page 27 in colorblock beechwood half price $225 with an additional 20 percent off. I found that bag at Von Maur 75 percent off ($112).
I have an old Court bag from 1994 and while it is constructed similarly there are some major differences. The top handle is the same. The old Court bag body does not have three segments - it is a simple rectangular flap satchel, unlined, with a leather zip pocket and a back pocket. This current version has much better organization and would be easier to use. Of course, in 1994 we didn't have to fit in a Iphone or an Ipad.
I've seen the court bag and thought about getting it but didn't. The one thing I wish coach would have done with the Cassie is not line it. I love the raw leather inside..but it's a beautiful bag

If you don’t need it, you should not buy it just for review. I purchased a brand new bag from coach but got a one with scratches already. Probably that is the case returned to the store.

I went to the coach store yesterday to check it out and really didn't like how it looked on me and I don't like the brass hardware. Was a relief because I was close to ordering it online lol.
So a dupe is an inspired bag and this is not. LV didn’t invent the purse brief satchel style. I love LV and Coach both. The Court bag is a purse version of the Coach briefcases. I don’t link it to LV at all other than it being in the same category. Just like a bucket, a duffle, a tote, a clutch. I’ve always eyed the LV and when I saw this bag I just saw Coach, not LV. I had a Coach soft brief in my 20s and I love this as I can still get that style but in a purse as I have no reason for a brief anymore. Its an option in the same bag category not a dupe. BTW I appreciate that you didn’t focus on that for your video (always enjoy your reviews).

I have this exact bag and on the side leather where the buckles are located peeled off in both sides so i gave it back to coach at it happened just less 2 months. I seldom use it and it was never scratch that's why is such a 🤨 surprised! Nways they replaced it. All good now

Hello, I love the Cassie umm, I have one question for you does the coated canvas gets dirty easily compared to the pebbled one ? And also the calf leather is more prone to scratches . I am just confused between the signature canvas and the black pebbled leather for the camera bag. Could you please suggest me which one I should buy? That would be a great help.
Pebbled leather and canvas are both super durable and I’d rate them equally for that. Color transfer really has more to do with color than material type. Darker colors are much safer and lighter colors more risky. If you want a no worries bag I’d go for black pebbled leather!
I bought the Charlie carry all in the normal size in this exact colour...do you think it's over exagurated ?like big ..and you think it will go out of style anytime soon??cause alot of new ones coming and coming in . please give me your advice..or anyone..would really appreciate it..thank you..
It’s a pretty basic bag, so I don’t think it will go it if style. I would worry more about a tea rose bag or snakeskin - those are definitely trendy embellishments and may not be “cool” someday. A bag like the Charlie Carryall should be pretty timeless.
The bag is absolutely lovely, but thinking I prefer a camera bag of sorts because of the zipper. I'm looking for a Tory Burch I saw some time ago that being completely square holds more. Thanks to mugging in big cities I feel the need for smaller crossbodys to avoid muggers. Thanks for the review!

The only difference is there is an F in front of the number on the creed on the bag from the outlet. The quality of the bags are the same. I was always under the impression that the outlet bags are lower quality than the boutique bags, but I am finding some retail bags at the outlet, which is amazing, but also confusing.
There are two types of bags sold at outlet locations: made for factory outlet bags and made to retail deletes. 95% of what you see at an outlet is made for the outlet. There is a difference in the quality of made for factory outlet bags and made for retail bags. Outlet bags will be an inferior quality. However, especially lately, you will sometimes find made for retail bags at the outlet. These bags were made for retail but didn’t sell for some reason (past season, not popular, overstock, etc). Many of these bags are actually retagged with the F in front of their style number before being sent to the outlets. I bet if you googled the style number on the dinky you bought without the F in front, you will find it was sold at the retail stores. By adding the F to retail bags, Coach is able to sell the bags for less and not have to uphold the warranty they give out on their retail bags sold at boutiques, which saves them money. So yes, there is a different in quality, BUT not with the dinky you bought. That’s a retail bag you scored for way way less! Congrats!

Hello! I just received my cassie in the same color. I love it already however, do you find that the sides and the leather section behind the top handle creases really easily the more you open the bag? You seem to have such ease opening the flap all the way. Thank you!
I returned this bag but I will say when I had it I didn’t find it at all hard to open the flap. Now that being said, because of how the bag is constructed, that will definitely be an area that will crease 🤷♀️ If that bothers you, maybe the pebbled leather version would be a better fit.

Depends on what your budget is. Samorga makes great ones but they are pricey. If you are looking for a cheaper option that’s still great, check out Cloversac.
I think I got it from Walmart. Might have been Target but I’m leaning towards Walmart. It was a couple of years ago so I don’t know that they would have this exact one anymore.

I dont know for sure about the gift packaging but it makes sense to me it might come somewhat unwrapped for gift orders. Most people buying gifts want it to “look pretty” when someone opens the box. I wouldn’t call the canvas on mine wrinkled but it definitely has a texture to it.

I finally got fed up and called customer service and they told me the bags came from the retail stores. It's just ridiculous!!

Unfortunately I already sent it back. I will say, based on my memory, the Cassie would hold quite a bit more and it’s definitely a more casual looking bag.
The C-lock is only on the leather versions. Canvas versions have this knob lock. I bought this directly from Coach’s website, so not possible to be fake 🤗
I’m just a normal person trying to decide if I like a bag or not. I ordered it to try it out, I didn’t think I would use it once I experienced what it was like, so I returned it just like a normal person would do. Would you rather me be fake? Just trying to keep it real and be honest 🤷♀️
It’s actually kind of hard to say who is copying who here. The Métis is based on an older LV design called the Monceau that was released in the mid 1980s. The Cassie is based on an older Coach style called the Court which was also released in the mid 1980s 🤷♀️ Not sure which technically came out first but they are both really classic styles for both designers.
I think it’s a modern version of the Coach Court Bag, not a Luis Vuitton dupe.

Try a Gucci soho disco! It’s my favorite crossbody for bulky items and it’s totally carefree in terms of maintenance which is a bonus.

Do you know if the leather is the same as in the solid color Cassie?
It doesn’t appear to be. The leather on this one is smooth and burnished. The leather on the others appears to be solid-colored pebbled leather.

How come yours has a knob turn and not the Coach C-lock? Is yours fake?
The C-lock is only on the leather versions. Canvas versions have this knob lock. I bought this directly from Coach’s website, so not possible to be fake 🤗

It is a copy of the Pochette Métis , Louis Vuitton, that is why I don’t buy coach or MK they only copy the high end designers
It’s actually kind of hard to say who is copying who here. The Métis is based on an older LV design called the Monceau that was released in the mid 1980s. The Cassie is based on an older Coach style called the Court which was also released in the mid 1980s 🤷♀️ Not sure which technically came out first but they are both really classic styles for both designers.
