Love the decor of their home. Today's style has all the charm of a warehouse or hospital.

I loved this show so much when it came out -- thought it was hysterical as a kid. Then it was instantly canceled! So many things in life can make a kid sad. Thanx for finding these and posting them.

For those unfamiliar with the show, the same guy who created I Love Lucy is responsible for Angel: Jess Oppenheimer. Notice many similarities between the basic premise of each?
Anyway, this tv show is an indication of how good a job Mr Oppenheimer can do when given more than the short, very short, period of time he was given to create Lucy.
I agree, very funny, maybe not as much slapstick as Lucy, but better resolved.
    And very cute.

It was nice when you had the characters in a TV show doing commercials for the sponsor. It wasn't the same one over and over.

It's really great the way the product placement style ads double as extra show time.

Annie is so cute. Smartly written. Surprising it didn't last, but then overall quality of shows was much higher then.

The camera that keeps getting dropped in this episode is in reality made by Bolex. A precision made and very useful 16mm camera.

If she looked familiar before watching this it's because she was on an episode of "The Rifleman", as the future queen of France, running away from here royal duties with her little brother.

A great show that I never knew about until recently. I wasnt to be born for a couple years when it came out. It should have lasted longer but in those days there were so many good shows Competing For the 3 or so channel slots we had.

I just realized that watching this. This was used in "Lucy Raises Chickens" and "Lucy Wins a Racehorse". Not surprised. Desilu recycled their sets and wardrobe many times. Not 100% sure but it seems as if it's been repainted. It's a bit lighter.

I dont know the actor's name with the glasses and mustache but we know him best as Floyd the Barber from the Andy Griffith TV show and some movies like Voyage To The bottom of The Sea movie he did with Barbara Eden and Peter Lorre. It's good to see him in another TV show before Andy Griffith

"Post , the cereals that happen to be just a little bit better" Doesn't seem to be a slogan that is going to get people rushing out to buy the product! " Maybe I will just buy the cereal that is cheaper; I mean there isn't much difference is there".

The original slogan, according to one of these old tv shows, for M&M candies used to be:
Melts in your mouth, not on your fingers.
Yeah, advertising and slogans were (still) kind of primitive in the 50s.
