So organic sales are sales that are out of advertisement basically it’s from Those who bought the book again, clicked it from another resource or by following the author’s page, or some of his friends sent a link to really cool book to read or buy So these are sales that are skipping the whole advertisement and research process . Hey Barry... Thanks for this helpful video... Quick question: How can I tell which of the clicks in my ad campaign has converted into a sale? Most of my sales are not shown in my ad campaign, so they're mostly organic... Monitoring the bsr is not a reliable way to know because sales can be delayed.
I agree that ABSR is not the most reliable way to track sales. However you can measure your total sales vs ad sales to figure out the organic ratio. The ad sales should show up on your dashboard :)
Can it make sense to switch off the ads at some point or to lower the bids everywhere? My ads as a whole consume 90% (that's the TACoS, as you called it) of all royalties, i.e. I spend €1,800 and receive €2,000 in royalties, for example. My book always ranks 1-3 organically for the most important keywords, so it would sell organically even without ads. Probably less, but my profit would certainly be significantly higher. Does it make sense to lower the bids for ads significantly in order to make more profit, or will this weaken the book project in the long term and should I be satisfied with the 10% profit? The book is 4 months old, so I would be in the optimization phase
This is a very common problem I see with my clients as well. I wish I could explain exactly what you need to do through the comments but it will be easier with my whiteboard. I will make a video on this :)

I dont like promoting my course because I don't like sounding salesy but it's the most valuable course on KDP you can find on the Internet for a very low price. (Price will be increasing soon) However, no matter what you do, gathering knowledge is the most important. You seem like you have the work ethic to succeed :)
Focusing on ACoS during the launch of your book is one of the dumbest things I've ever been told. Your book is at it's lowest price point because you're trying to gain ranking, it has zero previous sales data, so Amazon won't help you get organic sales and you have the least amount of social proof meaning the lowest CVR you'll have during the books lifetime. Do you focus on ACoS during the launch of your book? Let me know your results :)

To be honest life was more exciting before I had money coming in from KDP because I had a dragon to conquer in a way. Now it's a little bit boring because I found a system that works and is repeatable. But I've only started to make enough money to pay for my lifestyle these past 2 years :)

Took 2 courses then a 3rd from one of the most prominent french "kdp guru" who did regular income reports and 80k euros in 2020. His courses were empty, no example, no practical, no concrete, nothing, just blah blah blah (nothing to show on screen, barely.. You imagine that ! KDP is so technical that a "coach" showing barely anything on screen, I was scandalized.) He promised one expert intervention. Guess how long was the intervention : less than 3 minutes on a stumbling slow video !!! That's a pure scam ! I spent many month before that stydying kdp, I took the courses before launching to make sure I was backed by the "experts" and the revelation of all their secrets, AND NOTHING !!!! I had to go by myself, did kdp all 2021 and 1st half 2022, learned valuable lessons by myself, figured out that those "gurus" were teaching the WRONG STRATEGY while revealing no real niche, no real method, no real example to follow and to be inspired, etc. Etc. Now I know the right strategy is high content, focusing on a niche, high quality books and covers, and using ads systematically. But I need an expert to lead me and inspire me in all of that, and to reveal all his secrets. NOt just blind blah blah blah !!! KDP is everything but blah blah. It's very technical and practical. Anyway, I see in your videos a lot of value, I hope the community is were you reveal all the practical details, not just blind blah blah.
I completely understand. The community is extremely helpful and includes many exclusive videos and members have been getting positive results but if you're really serious about KDP and making it work, my Profitable Publisher 2.0 program is where you're going to get the most amount of value. If someone clicked on a sponsored version of your book listing that shows up in the search results, that's a paid sale. If not it's organic :)
