What ive been doing when i play reaper is just shooting even if they're way out of my effective range. Lots of times i hit 2-3 enemies and trigger the passive because of his wide spread

He’s also such a great counter to sombra cause of the spread, I’ve shot at invisible sombras who are trying to flank so much cause of my paranoid ass

@@luckybastard9354I think it’s a two way street, I play a lot of sombra and dueling reapers is a lot easier because if you can keep a certain distance from reaper+denying some healing with the passive makes the matchup very positioning dependent
@@Arle3597 ya that’s true but if they’re a good distance away and I have my wraith I can either close in and get a headshot or run away like a pussy which I do most of the r time cause I hate yalls cube thingy

I was playing comp last night and was hitting a 65% accuracy w Cree and 30% were crit shots. Got accused of hacking but I forgot about the bigger projectiles
I noticed that. I’m a Lucio main. I like playing 76 or Reaper every so often. But I never main DPS, usually healer or tank main (none of my friends like playing either role) but I did DPS since I did a solo comp game. And as 76, I got like 29 kills. And like 8k damage dealt. And I was like “wtf. I usually only get half that?”

i’m a support main too and i played bastion the other day for one of my placement matches. i noticed that i was getting more kills than normal when playing dps too. and my damage was really high but to be fair i was playing against reins big ass

Mostly a reaper main and this update has been great for me. You’ve always had to have good positioning as reaper and now I don’t need to search for health packs at 10 health
What about his ult. Do u think it needs buffs? I feel it never is enough to kill and ppl just throw every negate option there is, now I’m stuck finishing the ult with nobody in it… prolly getting shot while finishing the animation n die. What do u think, I’m also trying to get better with him.
@@rocko5166na he’s ults fine, you just have to use it when your team goes in so enemy isn’t focused on you and make sure they used essential cooldowns like Ana sleep dart, hog hook, genii deflect etc, also try dropping down from above them if you tp in the center or try to fade while walking into them they’ll know your ab to ult
Tank feels dogshit to play right now. A dps diff and a zen on the other team. You can’t do ANYTHING
They gotta rebalance how discord stacks with dps passive asap.

Thx to the new changes, i can play soujurn, i am a soldier main, i like both both but i play off angle all the time, killing mostly sup or dps and that req self healing if u dont wanna waste time looking for med kits. Now i can rank up with sojurn and shes so fun
I`m doing the reverse. I play Sojourn but could never master the mid-range playstyle since I suck at aiming. Thanks to the projectile buff, I might play him now. Plus, the BP skin is pretty fire.
I used to play DPS Kiri and hard carry now I’m silver instead of diamond 😭😭. Looking into just playing DPS this season
Tank is rough playing against the heal negates.

DPS has not been the worst role. tank has but whatever DPS players love to cry ig.
I’m watching all of the DPS and Tank stuff even as a Support main for two reasons. 1. I play Open Queue more than role lock, which means if I need to switch role then I’m not going to be utterly useless. 2. I know how they’re thinking, and can understand what they do, which means I can predict and make plays based on what I can see the other team setting up.

I hit masters 5 barely last season as Dps and now I have started 3-0 , 2-0, and like 2 min max push games against Gm and high masters it is absolutely insane

I love how a lot of proyectiles got crazy big, but junkrat proyectile, because of the previous nerf, it is barely noticeable (its the pretty close to the ow1 proyectile size)
btw, would really like to see your though on junkrat, tho, we may need to wait for more balance changes idk

Most of the games just come down to who can punish the tank more.I thought it just seemed that way bc I played tank first but it felt the same on dps and support as well.Everyone I know already hates it and prefers the old balance
HOT TAKE: soldier 76 is even more OP than before s9 bc his shots are way to powerful and now they are easier to hit

Basically every hitscan character is stronger now except Cassidy, Cassidy still sucks
All hitscans are more powerful while slow projectile like mei and genji are dog unless they get close and abuse the projectile size
Love the changes except for the huge hit boxes i hate it so much so i can’t play, i died behind walls too many times
I keep getting tracer teammates that run in and die and then blame tank/support when they die
Previously it wasnt a big deal but now dps diff means you lose

Thank you soooo much. This just explained in simple words my struggles and feelings with s9. I'm a low ranked Soldier player and unless I went up against heavy dive I usually took aggressive angles to focus supports.
I already figured, that a more defensive playstyle works better now, but couldn't say why. I also saw my ttk go up a lot, probably since I'm not landing that many headshots (will work on that). And while I also did a bit more tank tickling and even bursting when I think they are vulnerable enough, I never thought about focusing the other sustain dps primarily. Now that you stated it, I feel a bit dumb...
Anyways thanks again, your videos are edutaining and also very sympathetic.

before i finish the video im gonna state my facts the video is playing in the background but before i hear why dps is broken here is what i feel, yes dps feels better i love how supports are constantly wasting resources to keep some one alive instead of them using a button to prevent a normal rewarding kill or out right canceling an ULT with an ability that's on cooldown, with dps new passive i feel like we matter more but on the tank side for this patch it feels like as tank i live longer, which is truly amazing i don't immediatley blow up but i also feel like i don't do much as a tank rn but overall its more fun, now with charcters that do damage over time in dps that constantly trigger the heal reduction like ashe's dyamite,torbs ult, but i mean molten core is an ult so i can live with it as ashe is contantly applying the reduction with burn,i also feel like the projectile size is wonky when facing a widow and seeing the killcam cus im like holy shit bro the crossair wasnt even on my head it was like off above the shoulder around where the normal hitbox wouldn't be and it just feels bad,hanzo arrow personally doesn't truly bother me as it is a projectile unlike widows hitscan shot, now zen's discord is more out of control now when paired with a dps passive like ashe, or bastion , i personally seen squishys drop dead bc zen ult doesn't out heal bc of the heal reduction overall i love this patch but it does have its feel bad flaws, but i feel like were headed to a "good" direction

Yeah hog mains going thru it rn with the bigger projectile sizes. I played zen and got hooked, shotgunned and trapped and still beat the hog with a kick and charged volley crits
Im a dps/support player in high diamond and I also hate the hit box and slowed heals. I don’t even understand why they needed to make these changes. Game felt amazing and balanced to me beforehand
@@sammybuckets2026 only to you really everyone hated how dealing with healing was and how some characters felt borderline immortal everyone likes the anti healing its the projectile and how they should make the anti healing less for tank like 10% instead of 20

I think that they need to change the DPS passive to be less effective against tanks. It's not good game design for just shooting the tank to be so effective.
Dps is my highest ranked role and at the same time my least favorite role. I wouldn’t consider myself that good at it. But it’s the only role I can play with my much higher ranked friends and it can be really annoying. People are just insane and I don’t have as much game knowledge and muscle memory built in to keep up with some people
Remember when the game was about coordinated engages? Now the Dev team is just holding DPS players hand at this time. Killing things have never been an issue, if not, its been easier for the role because OW1 Stun was removed. Its honestly a skill issue if you think these changes are needed. This allows Dps to have more room for mistakes without being punished while support and tank suffers.
Can u do torb guide I'm curious please? I just came to overwatch not really knowing it and I peaked diamond 2 mainly 1 tricking him I play others only if people take away my fun my buddy is always giving me subtle digs cause he's popping off dropping 40-50 but we lose. Constantly I'm between 20-40 with no less than 11k damage. I have had games this season I've had 25k. I can't climb sometimes cause my positioning might be bad or my tank is doo doo and I'm trying to play OBJ when nobody is. I get really mad cause I'm fighting and it seems I got zero help. My gun skill is why I climbed if I learn torb and overwatch more I can go higher. So mills please if u can make a video on my Santa I would really appreciate it brother. Thank u God bless ❤
Everyone's advice for season 9 includes "shoot people so that they get the healing debuff". It's worth mentioning that it's useless to do that if the other DPS is already shooting the person

After playjng multiple matches, it really does feel like tanks continue to be the biggest loser in OW2.
With a few exceptions, the devs really do need to either rework or buff tanks as they continue to feel like they are dependent on the team versus what they are doing with the other roles- making them more independent. And while some may argue that's the point, I'd argue that more than ever for tanks, it's hard to secure eliminations and create space if constantly focused.
We need two tanks

this season is miserable for low rank supports.
low rank players can't stop 1v5, overextending, asking for healing on purple, and dying in stagger to then blame supp.
it's really frustrating how this patch exacerbates who is playing the game the way is intended and who doesn't.
i'm a masters mercy (previous season), using an alt account to help a friend in support get a rank up, who is in plat 5.
We got in to a game, where my teammates did not understand the new dps passive. In the first lost fight, an allied sombra on the other side of the map, spam us "heal".
What was even worse it that the other dps, got angry at me in voice chat, saying that i was a stupid mercy that didn't heal, followed by that same dude, entering a close space fight with a hog and reaper.

This just is not true man.
It's almost impossible to give solid enough argument that DPS would be more important role than Tank PURELY because you can certainly win without 1 DPS, but you almost definitely can't win without 1 Tank. And I'm sure you know that important does not necessarily mean strong.
You can trigger the -20% passive with 1 DPS but if your only tank dies, it's pretty much over.
As long as there's only 1 super tank in the field with 2 and 2, tank will always be the most important, the most valuable role in the game. That fundamental is not gonna change by simply adding a role passive like this.
I can make it even less complicated. Play any dps not named junkrat and have a mercy damage boost pocket. Gg ez

Bro, before you be a coach, you need to learn how to teach and how to present. Don't be yapping for 18 mins straight, no one's got the attention span for that,a teacher would know. Break it down in bullet form / points, and present it in a form that's easily understandable/retainable, any one thats work in sales/corporate would know how. Just a feedback, not criticism, you can take it however you want.
Honestly yeah, didn't really highlight the most important things. The gameplay in the background was more of a distraction from what he's talking about then anything. If he went with a more static video that shows clips of specific examples only while highlighting or bullet pointing the main ideas I'd easily be 10x better.

Uh no DPS is not any better, stay alive all you want, this game still requires your tanks to actually know what theyre doing and to stay alive for pushes, no matter how good ur aim is you will still lose with bad teammates......Supports healing needed to be nerfed by 50% across the board....thats all..... you can go 40 and 2 and will still lose every teamfight if your tank is braindead
