I bought my Leoncino 500 (Trail version) last month and already done 1600km. It's got bucket loads of Italian style and it's a bike that gives you so much for so little money. Not to mention that 70's exhaust note that sounds more like a four cylinder Honda 500 four. Great review, thanks 👍

This is the first I've heard of this bike. I think it looks cool and would probably be a good beginner bike. Especially if the reliability holds, cause it is a good price!

Hats off to Benelli for designing a motorcycle with good looks. No, it's not a sport bike with all the latest technology, No it's not a cruiser with a laid back ride. The "little lion" is as close to a standard motorcycle as you can buy today. It's not a retro like a Royal Enfield with an air cooled engine. The Benelli is a modern motorcycle with a liquid cooled eight valve engine that can pass the restrictions of many countries in Europe, and the states. And it is a GOOD looking motorcycle. I think Benelli has a home run with this one, even with an Italian name made in China motorcycle. Made in China should not bother buyers today with so many Hondas, Triumphs, BMW's and others being manufactured in areas controlled by China.
Very well said Gene, in all honesty if you add to the equation the price tag, it is a true worthwhile investment

I am about to look for a two-year-old 500 Trail to replace my KTM 390 Duke. My big bike is a Yamaha SCR950. The relaibilty of Benelli's is first class. A neighbour of mine had a TRK500 for over three years. He commuted pretty long distance and din't have one issue.
Don't forget the 360-degree crank. It's what makes it stand out and is the reason for its tractability.
The worst point: depreciation.
Buy slightly used and then there maybe less depreciation impact buddy 👍

Thank you Deg, that's not cheeky at all buddy, we are all in it together and asking questions and helping is a must. So I do everything on my phone in terms of editing, never used a laptop, I use an app called InShot, its very simple and I find if you can record well then the editing is so much easier. Kinemaster is another app many use, but for me inshot works as it's a mobile phone app and all I do is work of my phone, recordings however are both on gopro's and my phone. Enjoyed the review. I've bought one today. I have a Royal Enfield Classic 500 and a BMW F800ST. One bike is going to be replaced by the Leoncino and it's not the Royal Enfield. Looking forward to getting the bike and taking down some of my favourite twisties.

Just bought this model today in Bangkok. First ride; very impressed with the balance, ease of use and braking feel. Gear shift feels a bit heavy, but might just be that I need to get used to it. Looking forward to spending some time with this machine.
By the way, where are you filming/driving in the video?
It is a very smooth bike, my gsr is non abs but I have the braking spot on, gear selection might improve if you use a good graded oil, often if oils are not up to scratch the gear change can be affected. 👍
The bike was filmed in the UK, England to be exact, primarily the Midlands 🇬🇧👍

Great review MIA. Enjoyed. Do you still own it? How many km/miles did you cover? Any particular problem during your ownership? I would like to know how it performs on the highway, I mean at what RPMs it is siting in 6th gear at 100 km/h. Thanks a lot for the answer. Got my like and full watch, just like always.
I have sold it, but it was a good economical bike. I had no problems but only rode it 5,000km

Yes you are right, but benelli is available in PK, most go for the TRK, which I have in Pakistan, but you can order others, nobody does because it is expensive. In fact Chinese bikes rule PK market above 150cc. Anyway, somtimes its not the bike but the journey and in PK you have many many great destinations for journeys 👌😊👍
Back in the Uk 👌🏻👍🏻 I think the seat height & ground clearance is measured in mm, not cm. An 800cm seat height would be huge 🤣😂 Awesome vid’ as usual 👌🏻👍🏻

it is a very nice looking bike. If only it came out during the cafe racer craze a decade ago. It would have sold far more. I would still like a 502X to travel around Australia. Maybe one day.

... the mpg seems amazing and just for my old brain can you just confirm 100mpg? I will be a progressive rider rather than a guy at the TT 😂 so am looking around at middleweights. Cheers again. Ian

I' ve wanted one since I first saw it in 2016. Never saw one in the metal, because I can't get it here in Canada. Lack of a dealer network would also make me hesitant.
