My wife and I relocated to Morelia, Michoacan, in 2021 also. She's a Mexican citizen, and I'm from Reno, Nevada. It's been an absolutely wonderful experience! The people, culture, the architecture, and of course the food, are all amazing. When we got married, I promised her I would get her back to her family, and I kept my word! After three years, it the best move I've ever made! VIVA MEXICO 🇲🇽

Life in Mexico is different I miss it. One thing for sure going to plan my retirement like my grandparents and my parents retire in Mexico.

Puerto Escondido is my wife and I favorite place to go. It's our hippie place. She's been coming here for over 35 years, myself for 20 years. The best place to unwind. We currently live in Morelos and are planning a trip in June. Have you ever been to Zicatela when the giant waves come in and roll all the way to the restaurants. I've got several videos of that plus photos of 10-15 meter waves. Wonderful place.
Wow that’s amazing! I can’t imagine how cool it was 20+ years ago. Probably a completely different vibe haha! I have seen them get pretty massive but not yet up to the restaurants. 🤣

@olivia.anelise Back 20 years ago we could rent a palapa on the beach with all beer and lobster you could eat for a $100 pesos a day.

Nice video ! I've been thinking of doing some travel in Mexico; was thinking of doing 3 months in Bucerias and then, 3 months in Puerto Escondido. The place looks amazing with all the little shops, fresh food and restaurants. Of course, the beach is a plus. Thanks for sharing ! Take care....

You have to visit Puerto Vallarta, stay at La Zona Romantica, from there you can walk to downtown without using a vehicle and beach is awesome in this part of the city

I passed through there in 1986 when the main street was sand a few meters frrom the beach,
The Largo Distancia was in a tent as were most other places there...that seems a 1,000 years ago.😎

How do you/ did you two not get sick from the water and tummy issues most of get there? I only ever last 3 weeks before I’m forced to return. What’s the trick?
thanks for your comment. we have had a few incidents of getting sick but I realize it was mostly due to the restaurant not having the right cleaning precautions.
we wash all our fruits/veggies with filtered water & use baking soda/grapefruit seed oil to clean them. we also cook with filtered water. another thing that has helped for myself and others who come to visit is implementing activated charcoal/probiotics daily even before arriving and it's seemed to help.
@@olivia.anelise thanks! Yeah. It’s always been a challenge when I visit my family in Rincon de Guayabitos, Nayarit or Leon, Guanajuato. But I do eat the streets probably more than I should, and I’m a total chili head so I go off on salsa and lots of ceviche. Enjoyed your video though. Thank you.

I have been living in Mexico for 24 years now. My wife and son are Mexican born. I am sorry but I must tell the truth to everyone here. Living in Puerto Escondido or any other resort town cannot be called "Life in Mexico". Come to the interior. Come to Coatepec, Veracruz. Here you will experience Mexico. This is an honest invitation. I can show and the natural wonders here, the local life, the music, the art and especially the food .
This is my life in Mexico and it works with our lifestyle right now! Although I do hope to visit and experience Mexico deeper as those places have my heart. ☺️💜
