HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT is based on the “Hunter x Hunter” anime, which ran from October 2011 through September 2014, with the manga still ongoing in Weekly Shonen Jump since March of 1998. Developed by Bushiroad Games and published by ARC SYSTEM WORKS AMERICA, HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT will feature blistering fast 3v3, team and assist based fighting game action true to the spirit of competitive 2D fighting games.

◆What is the HUNTER×HUNTER anime?
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 1998, HUNTER×HUNTER is an epic adventure story by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Gon, the protagonist, who takes the hunter’s exam to become a hunter like his father and be able to meet his father, continues to challenge the “unknown” world with his friends, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika and others he has met in an ongoing emotional journey.
The TV animation HUNTER×HUNTER, based on the manga of the same name, was broadcast from October 2011 to September 2014 on Nippon Television and other networks, and is still supported by many fans as a work that portrays the new “Hunter World” while maintaining the passionate story from the original manga.
The comic series has sold more than 84 million copies (including digital editions)

Leorio's voice actor is still Keiji Fujiwara, I can't believe it😭
In case you don't know, he was Leorio's VA for the 2011 anime and sadly passed away in 2020. I thought they would just recast him for this game, but it appears they had enough recordings to keep him as the voice. He gets to be Leorio once again! Rest in peace king
Reno in FFVII Rebirth used old Fujiwara voice clips in Japanese as well, it’s why he had little dialogue or screentime. I believe Part 3 WILL require the casting of a new VA, though.

Yeah, Daisuke Namikawa deserves some respect as the voice for Hisoka. But never forget, Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum.

Not to mention Fighterz, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Melty Blood and the UNI series for other stuff they've done.
I don't have a problem with the graphics, but I understand if they're not up to other people's standards. However, I think that "budget" titles like this can still have their place in today's market. The pursue of high fidelity, the latest graphics and technology has proved very detrimental to AAA modern games and it's killing the industry. If we can have smaller titles like these in exchange of they needing much fewer resources and shorter development times, I think it's a fair trade. Give it a chance if it's at fair price. It reminds of those anime fighters/games of the ps2 era, and there were quite a few of those back then (mainly in Japan, though), even a mildly popular series could still get a game, something you don't see today.
Nah, it was because before they showed low visual videos of gameplay so people got the panties in a bunch calling it a Ps2 gane. But now they can all stop complaining about it cause, like honestly do ya really think they'd leave the game like that?
I live in Brazil, and the prices of games here are very exorbitant, so it's super valid, at least for me, that such games exist. In our country, very few people have the money for a console or a decent PC, let alone for a $60 game

FUCKING GON AND KILLUA DON'T EVEN HAVE THEIR FUCKING REGULAR OUTFITS FROM THE DAMN SERIES!!! Anime games are supposed to be fan service first and foremost. Ain't shit for fans in this. With one button combos, ain't shit for the FGC either. No way this succeeds.

I really hope Bandai and Shueisha get together to finally give arc the keys to a whole Jump Stars fighting game that’s on par graphically with DNF Duel & Guilty Gear. At this point I feel like only Arc should be the next company to touch Shonen Stars game series
I gotta be honest, I find the animations to be really lacking ommph, like there doesn't feel like there's any impact to the character's movements.

Edit: I have just now been made aware of the fact that this game is slated for release on 2024, and we’re already halfway through the year, making my statement on #1 obsolete and misinformation. I profoundly apologize for my wicked and unforgivable crime and will now proceed to Minecraft myself out of existence.
The game is slated for release in 2024 & we're alrdy halfway through the year. I doubt there's any time to make any significant changes at this point. What we're seeing now is most likely what we'll get.

@@nicolaspp4780 brodie UE4 fighting games use one of the easiest to mod/tweak engine rn, unironically they can fix a lotta stuff on a small period of time, one person created an entire shading system for like 3 games in less than 2 months.

The graphics isn’t the problem visually it’s the stages bruh they’re too bland and don’t got anything going on behind them. And a little more screen shake on things like knock downs would help a lot too
This game has a charm to it despite the visuals. It’s pretty obvious this game won’t be another DBFZ but if the gameplay is solid and it’s not too pricey, it could be a great niche 2d fighter.
Can't wait for this game! Finally, we will be able to play Chrollo, Mereum and Kite. Hopefully they put Razor and Knuckle.
Kite is basically my dream right now. He would be insane. And maybe Zeno, Silva and Illumi.

Please consider a PS4 port. If SNK changed Fatal Fury from PS5 to PS5/PS4, you guys can too. It’s no excuse when there’s a switch version, which is inferior hardware to PS4. Or at least consider a Series X port. You guys are publishers, but I’m sure you can persuade Bushiroad and Eighting to do an additional port. Please! Thank you!

I haven’t been motivated to buy a PS5 yet. And this game ain’t it. And like I said, if Capcom and SNK can make their latest fighting games to PS4, why can’t Bushiroad and Eighting? The fact that they even do a Switch port is baffling already.

I’m still shocked that we are getting a real hxh fighting game and I’m so excited. Thank you guys for creating this. I can’t wait to play it. It looks amazing to me and most importantly the gameplay looks fun.

They didn't work on it, they're just involved in publishing the game outside of Japan.
No, Arcsys are not working on this, they are just localizing and publishing it in the West. The actual developer here is Eigthing and only Eighting. The lack of polish here is more a result of Eigthing only beening provided with a shuestring of a budged for the development.
Eigthing, was the main designers and developers on DNF Duel, Marvel VS Capcom 3, Tatsunoko VS Capcom, Fate Unlimited Code, and a ton more Licensed Fighting Games on the PS2/Wii era.
Please do research, they’re just the publishers
