First of all, I sincerely wanna congratulate my opponent Chris TheOdian's win. He surely deserved it and it was truly an honor to share the stage with him cuz you know, he's such an amazing artist and a great guy too!
Also, I know my rounds there weren't what I'd meant to show you, so I apologize for my performance that night🙏 I noticed I had some issues with my sound settings perviously, and I changed every single setting from what I prepared, which eventually caused much worse issues and ruined the whole mix. No matter what, I'll make sure this experience brings better me next time.
I'll be releasing those two tracks soon with much better qualities, so I hope you guys enjoy listening to my upcoming tracks as well :)

The day before the 1/4 final, we were joking about him looking for the love of his life so I decided to dedicate my first round to help him find it. But the issues I had prevented me from doing it properly (time wasted at the beginning).

@@mizzocooks not really, they're two different musical styles but I understand that you prefer dice's style more. ChrisTheOdian, however, is ahead in terms of core beatbox looping meaning that he uses lesser effects while layering his sounds, just my opinion, I respect yours.

I remember, i was so dissappointed in the decision of the judges that i literally closed the GBB Livestream, but at the same time, it probaly was way different live.
@@redfrost4750 tbh live i remember dice tracks hit hard and i was really dissappointed too. You can see that people in camera shot mostly point to the dice dircection but I'm not expert in looping so I guess it was somehow justified that Chris won.
Chris actually did not prepare enough tracks for the whole thing, he originally wasn't expecting to pass. He even had to borrow a track from BreZ, but he nailed it.
I was wishing for dice to win, but I was afraid Chris would win just because he sounded way more clean on the second round. Really unfortunate, but not unfair.
I got way more disappointed on BreZ not winning, honestly.

Dice's second round has some of the sickest vibes ive ever listened to. I was not there at the live event, but for me through this after-mixed-mastered format, Dice takes it.
Chris TheOdian is so sick though, love the sampling at 4:42, reminds me of The XX in some way
I was there and I agree. Pre-masterd it sounded much worse than this video. With this mastered video Dice would have won.

Please keep in mind that these video's sound quality are remastered by Sinjo for a better showcase of the battle. Therefore, Dice's sound and mixing issues are not too obvious in this video. Those that heard it live and in the livestream would have heard those issues a lot more clearly.
One example is at 6:52, Dice's baseline in Round 1 was way too overpowering during live, but it is not as bad in this video.
Both loopers were great and Chris deserve the win imo

@@rocklee9751 That is your opinion and I respected it. I believe all 4 rounds were great and everyone has their music preferences. However, beside music preferences, execution and sound quality also matter a lot in loopstation battle.

Meanwhile Dice had so much variety and his rounds did feel like battle rounds. I remember even on the stream me and so many other ppl were confused how dice lost lol that’s why they had to say after the battle on the stream to keep the comments positive bc so many ppl were mad. Rightfully so
@@DRM0087 I believe the judge do consider the type of second device used and how fast it can create a melody with a single sound input for Line 6. So Dice can create a melody in 5 second but Chris need to go through a few loops to get his melody using RC505. Hence, the judge might consider that Chris recorded his round as fast as he could and the difficulty of execution. I was surprise during live that Dice even got a point due to the mistakes and the sound issues was overwhelmingly obvious. However, I think if Dice did it perfectly, he would have won due to music complexity and structure.

I remember being in the 3rd row or something and I couldn't hear anything else than Dice's bass and a faint snare and the occasional feedback. Had no idea what chords were going on or anything. I could not enjoy his rounds even if they were incredible in composition.

It's quite interesting to see how Inkie, who we know really loves the styles of line 6 users, vote for Chris, was a bit surprising but i think Inkie being a line 6 user himself understood the mixing issue of dice and hence voted for Chris ig

Well yes, but Dice having sound issues doesn’t make Chris any better. Both Chris rounds were a bit all over the place. No structure, the beat didn’t go with the song, and the singing was off tune. Seriously appalling decision to me.

it wasnt just one, you should watch the live version he had about 5 times the audio got pent up on a really sharp tone and his drops sounded so overwhelmd by the bass, if it wasnt for all of that he could won easily

Mixing issues.
Live you literally couldn't hear anything of Dice's rounds. Just bass kick and snare, the melodies you couldn't hear at all plus he had feedback issues on top of that. This was mixed by Sinjo so it sounds okay.

Just want to remind you all, mixing issues are much more noticeable when you're there in the crowd. Nonetheless, big ups to both artists for delivering us such a good battle! Chris deserved it. Personally had Dice winning but I also found Chris's rounds to be very beautiful, so it wasn't an overkill by Dice. Just a huge difference in styles.

This battle is one of the few that shows that sometimes being the first in the battle will be a winning option.
Here we can observe the confrontation between two beatboxers of different styles.
If you take Brez and Rhythmind as an example, they are loopers with explosive style and hard chorus. Almost the same performance style.
Chris TheOdian, due to the fact that he was the first to speak, set the judge and the crowd to soulful music, to light and unconstrained. And this style is extremely rare in battles that you want to listen to it again.
Dice's style of music in this battle was almost similar to the style of Brez and Rhythmind and in my opinion, if Dice had appeared first, he would have been able to set the people to explosive music and, most likely, was the exodus from others.

I really liked DICE's pieces here way more than Chris' (but it is more of a subjective bias than faults on technicalities). Chris' musical style is really good, although his first round had time wasted and it barely came to the chorus. DICE's are arranged really good and the sounds are really damn amazing but I can hear some mistakes (I'm not sure if there are some accidental sounds that played or missing notes or whatever, there are just times where it sounded odd for a second) and that was probably the reason that the judges considered. All things aside, This was a really great contrast battle
DICE had audio issues and mic feedback in his elimination as well. Might have been fixed if the sound checks were properly done but hey whatever

That’s the thing, judges don’t vote for who they think has better future material or has the most potential, they vote for the battle at hand. And in this battle, unfortunately Dice’s sound issues were too much.
Chris was really good imo, deserved win. He was just too smooth and he had the best sound live by far.

次のGBBはsosoとdiceの一騎打ちになると考えてます。お互い優勝候補だったけどそんなにソロループで活躍することできなかったから（めちゃくちゃしてるけど準決とかまではいってない）くそ強いネタとかめっちゃのこってるとおもう。

This is such an unfair call, Dice’s performance and structure was pretty much immaculate imo. Chis wasted way too much time building up, and honestly pitchy af in the first round. Even if his mix was better I personally don’t think it was enjoyable to listen to.

Watching the loop battles is making it very glaringly clear why the 2022 gbb is cancelled.... Brez clearly won his battle. Loved Chris but that wasn't quite better than Dice, and I heard dice on the livestream. I was disappointed he wasn't as crisp as normal but still should have won. Two battles where even some influential people have said that listening afterwards they would have definitely gone different than they originally had thought.
For me WIN DICE! It is clear that they need a Frenchman on the list 🤣

First of all we have to determine if the beatbox program is for viewers, or for commercial purposes!
if it's for viewers, it seems that the distance between viewers and judges is getting farther and farther, the most obvious proof is that the current views are getting less and less, the controversy about fairness is getting more and more serious, and tend to be irreconcilable!
and in my opinion, with two beatbox matches picked the wrong winner! DICE with BreZ is the winner!
And I'm sure most of you have the same opinion as me!
I noticed that the judges of the next generation, all rely on the previous judges to vote up!
and this doesn't seem to be working anymore, so let's try to let the viewers or members vote for the judge they want themselves, this will be fair, and the views will be able to go up like before !
but if it's for commercial purposes, called for by organizations or groups, or have separate investment portfolios, that I don't know, then I have nothing to say!
we have to look at the present, the future potential, not the past achievements of a beatbox, I remember how impressed I was with rythmind in the 2019 looping match, and I loved it too. him till now, i watch almost his videos everytime he comes out on his official youtube channel!
As for BreZ I wasn't very impressed with him, until he entered the match against rithmind, which is to say, a friend you like, with a friend you don't like when going into a match, which is what Value them for what they've done now and in the future, instead of their past interests and accomplishments!

as for Dice, I didn't know him until he joined this match,! exclusively with Chris TheOdian! I watched his first round a few months ago, I was impressed, and watched it over 10 times!
but if I had known dice, maybe I wouldn't have rated him so highly, you know, dice is only 22 years old, at this age, let's not talk about technique, the fact that he's standing here, it's over your opponent!
but in terms of technical aspects, he is definitely better, let's not talk about any sound errors here, for general viewers, they really don't see any errors at all, but professionally, I think the same, unless observed with the eyes can detect!
I respect the judges decision because over all chris performance is so clean from the 1st to the 2nd round, but man dice really put up a show, i think if he didn't get some issues about the sound i think he will win. Tumbs up to the both of you this one of my favourite battles this year.❤

For me, its pretty obvious why inkie voted for chris. For inkie, mixing and mastering is the most important. Saro likes EDM and drops and doesnt care that much about mix

How in the world is this even close to being fair? I'm a musician and a big fan of Beatbox and clearly, the Korean dude won both of the rounds decisively but, y'know, here's Europe and he's an Asian dude. An ex parte judgment is a piece of cake.

Who do you think between these two would be the well-deserved competitor to compete in the semi-finals? Tech issues can be overcome but lack of skills and taste in music is something you can't just pull out of your pocket.

and now, Chris's rounds became one of my favorites.
so...I noticed that It is very difficult to evaluate correctly the deferent type of music.
Yeah it´s kinda difficult i had the same issue. It´s a taste thing - for me Dice clearly won the first round - Chris was not even there. But if you compare this battle with for example SXIN vs. Frosty - for me those 2 where on another planet. Frosty´s style is kinda sick..

違いますよ、明らかにループ技術、音のクオリティー共に圧倒的なんだけど、現場での音響問題のせいでDiceのラウンドがしっかりハマらなかったのが原因。もちろんクリスも良かったですが、ミスなどビルドアップでの時間の取り方を見ればDiceがどう見ても圧倒してますよ。

Both Rounds of Dice have So much potential, i swear i can`t get them out of my head and with just the base beat and idea`s itself there are so many options to try and apply, love it
I clearly understand the decision. Dice's tracks were super dope but too much based on the capabilities of his equipment alone imho. Chris created similarly nice tracks but with way more "skill" and Dice made some very obvious mistakes. Still a lot of potential there, hope to see more of him.
