Asia Pacific Othello Championship 2024 Day 2 - Closing Moments of the Final Decider Game 3

This video shows the final moments of Game 3 which was also the decider game of the Final of the Asia Pacific Othello Championship 2024.
It was played between Shiki Shimomura (Left) and Kurita Seiya (Right). Both players had achieved a respectable 10 points out of a possible 11 in the preliminary rounds and qualified for the finals in a tightly contested competition.
The reason why there tends to be so much emotions for the Japanese hopefuls when they play final games is because of their passion and dedication to Othello being second to none. Especially amongst the top players, it is evidently so.
The winner of this Confederation Championship also wins the qualification to represent their country at the World Othello Championship. While it is relatively easy to qualify and represent other countries, it is almost impossible to qualify from Japan each year as Japan has at least 20 players who are playing at World top 4 level at any given major tournament.
