Everything looks great! The only feature I would love to have on top of this, would be the ability to switch to the original soundtrack on command. Even if it were a 'Cheat' or something you unlock after completing the game. It would be a real nice feature to all us die-hard fans.
I agree with you! I miss the Pokitaru version of Veldin's soundtrack. It's my favorite :3

You can download the soundtrack and just play it on your PS4 while you're playing

I can't tell you guys how excited I am for this. I've played the PS2 Ratchet & Clanks games over 30 times each, and the PS3 games up to 20 times each.
Not many people will appreciate all of the little things you guys did with this game to appeal to longtime fans, but I think it's astounding.
Hmm i really didn't think anyone had played through the original 5 as much as I had.... I've played the original like a million times myself! I've completed all the PS3 ones too but no where near as much as the first 5.

+iNomNomAwesome ps2 titels me too but ps3 me not. the ps3 titel dont make so much fun to play. they are good but, i dont know what is missing. the original ps 2 titles bring me more fun.
Talon NEUr I can completely agree, there is something missing from the PS3 titles, they are still good but i don't think another Ratchet and Clank will live up to the first 4
yes gladiator (or english Deadlocked) was awesome too. ok lvl99 weapons and the conzept was a little bit strange but it was good.

JStevenson I know you are reading this, there are only 2 things we NEED for this game
1- Giant Clank, since 2004 we haven't seen him.
2- Let us choose "brutal difficulty" since the begining, or at least make the hard mode, you know, hard, 3 or 4 hits and goodbye.
Giant Clank also was in Size Matters and Sercet Agent Clank.
+Daxtery Toon (Cypher) Yes but those games weren't developed by Insomniac, I'm talking about mainline R&C games and giant Clank haven't shown up since Up Your Arsenal, I missed him a lot in ToD and CiT, with a PS3 it could have been awesome now imagine with a PS4

+CreatingRiot I'd say 4 hits would be too easy. Remember the original had 4 hits to start. I'd say 1 or 2.

Everything looks just like I remember with the exception of the polish and environment additions. Just goes to show you don't always need to make a super realistic looking game. PS4 makes even cartoon games look incredible

My point only was that with hardware such as the PS4, photorealistic visuals has been the go to, to flaunt what the PS4 can do. This game on the other hand is a completely different direction and it still looks phenominal. Like you said yourself, Dreamworks/PIXAR quality.

True Pride but ti does look cartoony..same with spyro, jak and dexter, crash bandicoot..kingdom hearts..even street fighter 4 and other cell shaded games...borderlands.naruto, dbz all that stuff it looks good tho

Chairman Drek's voice sounded better in the first game.
I still like the new voice.
Drek's design is my only complaint about this game. Other than that I'm super hyped

Nope I did that too, preferred the jetpack.
For this game I preferred it because of the strafe mechanic. I did use the Thruster Pack up until a few years ago when I stopped bothering to change it.
This must have really, blown Paris away! I mean, what with this explosive gameplay and all... lol

Holy shit Insomniac this is really a cool update to Pokitaru, one of my favorite levels in the original Ratchet and Clank game. I love that the Blarg troops were thrown in and the fact that they were fighting off the Fish was cool because it's like Enemies vs. Enemies.
One little complaint I have is... Drek's voice. I mean, that was so obviously not Paul Giamatti. And it definitely was not Kevin Michael Richardson either. I believe the most logical conclusion would've been to get Kevin to voice Drek in the game.

Damn man I remember when I was like 7 and this game came out this level legit almost made me cry.
Looks great and i can't wait to play it.
The gameplay looks very similar to past games in the series but that's exactly what i want. Running around blasting stuff with awesome fun weapons and collecting bolts, all with nice new shiny PS4 graphics :)
Wow I can't believe what my eyes is seeing. This reboot is amazing!!! 😮 even the water in the space ship look so amazing. nice work guys. In it look just like the first game.
God, I remember that planet. I think it became burned into my mind for the sheer amount of time I died. I think I gave up on t he game once and when I went to play through it again while dreading to get to this point.

Not just visually stunning, but so much fun to play, I can't wait for this come April!!
Next year looks awesome on PS4, I mean Street Fighter 5 in Feb, Uncharted 4 in March, then this in April, Horizon, The Last Guardian, Ni-Oh, Gran Turismo Sport, Gravity Rush 2 (+ the Remaster), Persona 5, RIGS.
Probably Dreams and Detroit.
Tonnes more that it becomes almost impossible to remember everything.

The Pokitaru Resort owner just isn't the same when he doesn't have that sleazy car salesman speech pattern.
What I want to know is, will there be a PS4 console edition with this game's release. I don't have PS4 at the moment and 1 game is not going to make me drop $400, but if there was a special skinned PS4 for Ratchet & Clank, I might just have to get it with the new game.
The game is $40 dude and the console is now $350. I recommend you get it.

+Amir Didovic the console is kinda $400, and I am not spending $440 on this game. I usually get consoles like 7 years after they come out. When it drops below $200, then it is in my price range, the price range of someone who doesn't play many games. I just finished A Crack in Time as I just got my PS3 last year. Now if there is a good deal on Black Friday, I might get a PS4 next month just to lock it in, but I would be willing to spend more on a Ratchet & Clank edition, should one be produced.
+BricksOnTheDollar The best deal I've come across in the UK so far (which is the one I got), was £299, which included the uncharted collection (3 games), Assassins Creed and Watchdogs. All that for about $460. although they are more expensive in the UK. normally £299 ($460) would just get you the console alone, and I got 5 games with it

Ohhh myyy gaawwddd and i thought the trailer of this amazed me enough. Pokitaru alone looks gorgeous ! Especially the swimming section.

Looks good, but does anyone else think they could have done a lot better with that flame thrower? The graphics on that weapon looked very flat and out dated honestly. That Pixelater looks cool though!

+nickseacruz Yeah I noticed that too, it's a small gripe but it stands out because the rest of the game looks impeccable! And the game isn't out until Spring, so hopefully they'll iron out all the kinks by then :)
I honestly don't care about what the Pyrocitor looks like as long as I can use it in either a strafe, or sweep the stream of fire in a circle. I loved the original Pyrocitor, the Lava/Liquid Nitrogen gun and a charged up Shock Cannon for that.
This looks so fucking great, Pokitaru was my favorite planet in the first game. I can't wait to play this

From the new Ratchet and Clank ps4 trailer the Predator Launcher looked fully upgraded to the Raptor Launcher
So....does that mean that they are going to remaster the first 3 classic Ratchet and Clank game or after this game they are going to continue with the (Original Future)series

I'm so pumped for this game loved the series form the original game. But does anyone else think the pyrocitor/flame thrower look a bit weird how it fires? I mean it's in a straight line when there should be some drag to the flames.
The layout of the stage is surprisingly similar to the original game. Good homework on Insomniac Games' part.
I loved the Jowai Resort on Planet Pokitaru, the original Ratchet and Clank is such a good game.

I own this game on the ps2. I bought it for the PS3. Now I'll have it on the ps4. Surprising I'm proud to get it again. I'll start saving for my ps5 copy haha

It amazing! love the graphics for it. The only complaint I have is I would love to see a preview of the bouncer. I've been having trouble figuring out if I should pre-order Ratchet and Clank, for the bouncer. I just don't know if my money is worth it.
