    The 8010/8020, the holy grail of JD collectables along with the W-14 and W-17’s. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to have a New Generation collection, one of every tractor of the New Generation! Only thing stopping me, MONEY, and lots of it!

    8020s and WAs are among the coolest John Deere’s ever made.

    I'm a super fan of the 7520's, I feel the best, looking design of the New Generation tractors, the 730 was the best of the 2 cylinders.

      Here the same but i wished JD had given the 7020 / 7520 a PTO clutch to operate for example a pulltype forage harvester more comfortableity

    The coolest 4WD tractor John Deere made in my opinion was the 8850 with the V8. Very similar specs to the E9 V8 Mack and had a similar sweet sound.

      Horrible engine.

    • @jamesbarbour8400
      @jamesbarbour8400 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@thegreenerthemeaner Moreso because of the way Deere mounted it within the front frame - directly to it, instead of an intermediate 'cradle', like the Kinze repowers did, with superior results.
      With Deeres' own engine fitted the way it was, when the front frame flexed, so did the engine, particularly the cylinder heads, I'm led to believe. Still a pretty collectible item these days though.

      @@jamesbarbour8400 They put that same engine in John Deere loaders, do you know if they had the same problems too?

      @@DirtRoadRacing Hi, and thank you for your question.
      Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question, as my interest and knowledge is limited to agricultural tractors - sorry.
      If the loader rear frame, or at least the lower portion of it was cast, then there would be no issue. The front frame of the JD 8850 artic tractor consists of two steel side plates, which under extreme circumstances, can indeed flex.
      Bit surprised that that would happen, given JDs' reputation for build quality.

    I drove a 8430 John Deere four wheel drive when I was 12 years old and had to get off the seat to push in the clutch because my feet can’t touch the floor board . I pull a field cultivator and cult packer behind the 8430 to brake up the dirt clots

    JD contracted with the Wagners for a 5vr exclusive, which meant they could only make WA 14 & 17s for Deere. Deere pulled the plug after 2 years, leaving Wagner holding the bag and basically put Wagner out of business

    • @GermanShepherd1983
      @GermanShepherd1983 Před 8 měsíci

      More corruption from JD. Too bad Wagner couldn't have given JD an education like Jon Kinzenbaugh did in the '70's.

      That’s a good idea, I’ll look for some information and see if I can make a cultivator video. Hope all is well in Holland👍🏻
