This brings me back to kindergarten. We used to do this as some introduction to biology. The teachers had repurposed egg cartons and plastic containers much the same way. It was a good way of also teaching how to be resourceful by recycling and how to repurpose already available material lying around.
I love this channel because it teaches how to grow plants as well as how to cook it nutritiously. May you have more videos like this. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for the egg crate tip! I will def do that--I've been buying the boxes of 60 eggs. If you hand-pick just the larger outer leaves, the plant will continue to produce. Do this for all greens, including lettuces. My collard green plants are 2 feet high and still producing through the winter! Some other types of greens are very cold-hearty, also! The cold makes the leaves sweeter. Snow & ice melt off them & leaves are just fine. Amazing! I learned that from Charles Dowding.
