    Bobby. I’m really into your series and I’m a big fan and I’m passing this on to my sons and all my musician friends. I’m going on 64 years and I’m fascinated with your experience. Thanks so very much. More people gotta know you legacy. You’re looking great too. You are inspiring to me and I’m a dedicated quite capable guitarist that retired from the rat race and have still played through 48 years so far. I live music. Thanks again. You feel like family

    Listened to D&B and Friends from Sweden, I believe, last night. Heard a completely new sound from hearing in the 70's. Due to what y'all were talking about, but also from what I've learned from your stories/videos. Jim Gordon's incredible percussions really stood out. Good drummers, too me, make everything look effortless. (With the exception of Keith Moon. Who could make Louie Louie look like a root canal with Channelocks!) Delaney's vocals and body movements stood out, as well. George Harrison was practically invisible but Mr. Clapton did crack a few smiles. Watching it, so many of your stories seem to come to life. Thanks again for all you're doing and all you've done.

    Your dog, Static...There's a place near me named Static. If you watch the movie, "Sergeant York", there's a scene where he goes drinking at this bar in Static, located on the Kentucky/Tennessee line. At that time (1915) Kentucky was wet and Tennessee was dry (it's the opposite now), and the state line was painted on the floor, with the bar on the Kentucky side, and the tables on the Tennessee side. It's a great story and a very good movie.

    It is just wonderful seeing the landscape and beauty in the terrain that surrounds you. Thanks for sharing. I love the tiger on the mantel that is GREAT.; did you name him Tony? love those 4 fangs. and your pups in the back ground being pups. someone used the words I heard Eric say once about B.B. King a Navigational Beacon for us all.. I feel that way now about you two for you bring this great wisdom and history and truth to us in a "informal" way to me it is like going to college with the subjects or classes I want to take and excel in. it is wonderful being able to get the insight as to how it happen3d and went down = A True Rock History Lesson. bobby ment5ion a few times about Delany stealing from everyone, when i was about 17 i saw Freddie King @ My Fathers Place in Roslyn Long Island N.Y. it was Great a fairly small club like the bottom line I guess and I asked him if he and Albert and B.B. were Brothers? (I was young and dumb) he laughed and said No, no, we are all Brothers just from different mothers, and it is ok to borrow licks and riffs from each other. I was asking him about Johnny winters and Eric oh, about Rollin and Tumblin and hideaway and loved the women, etc. he said, hey it is just fine to borrow riffs from each other and "just try to make it your own". "that is the beauty". "Never lie and say it is yours but just make it yours". "and play from your heart with everything you got.." That has always stuck with me. Along with all the "Passion" to play music... You guys look so Healthy, Happy and vibrant going down the highway having fun while going shopping for the needed supplies, reminds me of me.. Enjoy. I had a friend, = Clayton Booth that wrote this great song called "its all there for the taking". I think the trick or deal is being good enough as a musician to make it all work & pull it off perfectly and sound professional like what would have been on the radio, that is or was the deal, right? to be as good as what you are hearing on the radio. Or Better. M.G. in Phx. Az.

    First saw D&B (and you) when opened for Blind Faith in Portland, Oregon. Had no idea who/what D&B were, maybe a bro/sis act playing nylon string guitar and dulcimer? Totally blew me away. I can see why Eric decided to go play with you guys. "Bad artists copy, good artists steal" to quote Picasso (or so I've been told, referring to Delaney). But at least steal under cover of darkness. maybe... I always wondered if George gave Delaney that rosewood tele because maybe it weighed a ton? You answered an email from me years ago asking about dissolution of band, and very very pleasantly surprised to get a an informative reply. Love you and Coco: she seems to be a good match for you & pulls you back in when you go too far down some paths.

    • @BW-CC
      @BW-CC  Před 3 lety +3

      George gave the Tele to Delaney because Alan Parisar told George that Delaney would be expecting a gift. Without taking much thought about it, George handed it to Delaney as he got on the bus to avoid any talk about it. It was a very heavy guitar. The custom shop in California made a replica of it and the strat.
