I'm not being critical , but your pronunciation of the Dog's name is so wrong. Then again, with only one exception I can find on this site, so is everyone else's posting here about one of our wonderful provincial Dogs, the other being The Lessor Newfoundland. That's the original name of The Labrador Retriever. Spoken correctly it sounds like this; "Newf~In~Land". Say it rapidly. And, make it rhyme with "understand" and you can't go wrong. There's a poster on this site who goes by the name "Girl With The Dogs". She is one of the very few posters who knows how to pronounce Newfoundland correctly. Please search her out and listen to her. One more thing, these dogs will thrive in an apartment or small house. They just need a good walk every day, even more so, they really need your attention.
