Dance was so different then. Competitions weren't as numerous (more time to practice and refine general technique) and dance was more of an art than a sport full of tricks. Now competitions are a sporting institution, which takes away time and focus on learning dance fundamentals and more on upping difficulty. Plus the girls on the TV show weren't in classes as much as they should be due to filming.
Feels like watching Chloe and Maddie, Amanda with so much grace an emotion as Chloe would do, and Gianna just like Maddie, all techniques, and quick movements, without much grace.
