    Few Additional Points:
    - If the Humidity levels in your region is always below 50%, then you will do not require Dry Cabinet.
    - Do not set the Dry Cabinet Humidity levels below 45%. It can damage the leather, rubber & other soft parts of your equipments
    - Andbon makes cabinets in a wide range of capacities starting from 300Litres-30Litres.
    - A purchase link and a Discount Coupon code is given in the description.
    Thank you...
    Pixel Viilage.

    I bought this cabinet after seeing your first video. I had no idea then that moisture was bad for camera. I had one of my cameras ruined by fungus but i didn't know what caused it. Thanks to you my new equipment is safe. Using it for past 3 years. Very happy.

    I use to keep my camera and lenses in steel box with a 10 watt filament bulb glowing all the time.
    I am satisfied with the home made dry box.

    Purchased Andbon 30L with your link. The humidity is not going below 54% here in Mumbai. It’s kept in a corner with a 10cm gap from the wall. Setting is at the low at A

      You can buy one dry cabinet. Or DIY a dry cabinet, but better to buy a professional dry cabinet to make your camera longer life span.

    Hello Sir This is firdaus from Hyderabad and must thank you for sharing such useful video about the dry cabinet, I am based in Hyderabad although it is supposed to be dry climate but unfortunately my lense has fungus, so I bought 30 liters Andbond cabinet recently I have 2 questions for you 1 as currently it is winter in hyderabad I have set the humidity around 49 to 47 normally it fluctuates to around 2 or 3 degree,is this setting good for this weather?? And my 2nd question is that during summer as hyderabad has sevear summer what should be the humidity settings?? And if the cabinet is kept in a room temperature which is warm will it effect cabinet performance?? Can you suggest what should be ideal rokom temperature to keep the cabinet?? Regards Firdaus.

    • @lenthemdrycabinet4099
      @lenthemdrycabinet4099 Před rokem

      The ideal storage humidity for lenses is 40%-55%RH. If it is cold in winter, I suggest you buy dry cabinet with adsorption and dehumidification of the newest chemical molecular sieves like LENTHEM. Because dry cabinets with thermoelectric cooling technology have disadvantages: 1. Loss of function due to power outage, cabinet return to humidity
      2. The temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius, unable to dehumidify
      3.When the humidity reaches 20%RH, the dehumidification speed is very slow.

      Please keep checking the Humidity levels. When it goes above 60%, start using it. Set your Dry Cabinet to 55% Humidity. 👍

    Do we need to keep the cabinet always switched on?? Or is it only for rainy season?

    • @PIXELVIILAGE
      @PIXELVIILAGE  Před 5 měsíci

      Always. But if you see the humidity falling below 45% even with the appropriate setting, it means that humidity in your region itself is very low. During such situations, till it goes back above 50%, you can switch it off. But keep it closed.

    • @swapnilshelke4175

      @@PIXELVIILAGE Ok great!! So even after setting up to 50%..the relative humidity fluctuates between 30-45%. Will this cause any damage?

    • @PIXELVIILAGE
      @PIXELVIILAGE  Před 5 měsíci

      @@swapnilshelke4175 Yes. It will dry up the moisture in the Leather wrap of the camera body, Dry up any Grease/Lubricants in the lens etc. So, please keep the cabinet switched off/Door Shut position till the humidity levels goes up again.

      @@PIXELVIILAGE Thank You for the suggestion. I checked the rubbers and they are good and tight. I also tried setting it to 45% but it goes back up to 52% and I think it is my sweet spot, however I am not sure if 50-55% is safe for our camera gears. 😔 I live in a very humid area (1,200ft elevation above sea level) like literally molds builds up in my wall like a powder. Very nice and informative video btw. 🙂
