Burnside Neutral 2030 - Electric Vehicles come to Burnside

We are excited to announce the arrival of a brand-new electric vehicle (EV) for the City of Burnside's fleet! Each day our staff head out into the field for site inspections, external meetings, photo shoots (like this one!) and so much more. This Hyundai Kona, which replaces an older ICE (internal combustion engine) Hyundai i-30, will allow our teams to travel sustainably while continuing their important work in service of the community.
This follows the arrival of two Peugeot e-Partner EVs for our Rangers team earlier this year, which are fully electric and also replaced their ICE predecessors.
In 2023 the City of Burnside signed the State Government's EV Fleet Pledge, with a commitment to fully transitioning our fleet throughout the coming years. This also forms an important part of our aim to become carbon neutral by 2030.
