Please note that "Emotional Engagement" falls off at the end, that is signifying the fact it is "Concluded" i.e., The reader should be "Satisfied" to have read that one sequence.
Think of it like the stage actors saying good bye, farewell with "till we meet again" like bow, so that readers comfortably move onto what ever they do next, with anticipation to read the next chapter in the next issue :)

Thank you for being the only ones I could find who taught Kishotenketsu. I find it sad that this channel hasn't had new videos in a year. I like your content and I found it helpful. So I think this channel deserves more followers.

This was EXTREMELY helpful! I am going to implement this, with other writing techniques as soon as possible.
I will say though, this lesson would be a little better if we were shown an example of the KI-SHO-TEN-KETSU technique used in a manga chapter or two, to see how it works. Theory first, then application i guess. Maybe in the future :)
    Thanks again!

For a second I got really scared.
I didn't get the dynamic of the video at first.
The closed captions was activated. It said "speaking Japanese".
    I was like "Oh, No!"
But then the other guy translated what was said in Japanese to English...
Oh, boy... What a journey... HAHA

Ah, I think now I may finally be able to effectively study any manga which I read. Until now I could not figure out how to glean any artistic wisdom from anything I have read before, as if enjoying the manga was all I could do. I was missing knowledge and comprehension of the building blocks laying hidden underneath those manga; which if they were compelling me to enjoy them, must mean those building blocks are very, very effective. I deeply enjoy and appreciate being continually surprised by the vitally important information you share in these videos. Thank you very much!

just look at how much ki that guy had to use for that kamehameha, he ended up sweating bullets after it, fantastic video by the way.

Thank you! This is one of the best explanations for Ki-sho-Ten-ketsu I've seen. I also appreciate the way you've provided a great graph of how the story form is mapped out with emotional engagement vs pages

Glad you say so! K-S-T-K is engraved in everything a Japanese persons says, thinks, and talks. Nobody should need to understand or act like the Japanese, but I hope it helps to see what made some very successful manga, successful ;)
