While I used to learn English at school for years, my level didn’t progress that much... Now, as I’m getting used to your great program, I progressed a bunch. Also I’m used to your voice and so clear pronunciation I can say I'm "almost" fluent while some years before I couldn't beleave it was possible!🤩
Hi and nice to make your acquaintance, Drew! Could you explain, please, if there is a difference between "I am used to playing chess" and "I am used to play chess". The latter seems to be equal to "I am used (by someone) in playing chess" = "They use me in playing (their) chess". Am I correct?
Thank you for your explanation. These phrases are really important, but a little bit confusing. E.g. I used to enjoy reading magazines, but any more ( I am not sure it's one word or two). If you try using smth repeatedly you can get used it. Be used ? I didn't understand how to use it?
She _________ up late in the morning. a) was used to get b) used to getting c) is used to getting d) is used to get e) used to got Let's check our understanding

In fact, it turns out to be so simple when you explain it using a notion "process of getting something". Thanks a bunch!

Nice video except for the structure point you missed: “used to+bare infinitive” and “be/get used to+gerund”.
