- Join us for a trip to Houston Zoo Lights 2023! (We visit the Houston Zoo for Zoo Lights during the first member preview night). We always love visiting the Houston Zoo; Zoo Lights is no exception! :)
We enjoyed walking around the zoo and viewing the beautiful holiday decorations! Some standouts for our kids were the bubbles inside the Gorilla/Ape area and the Snowy Slopes (pretend snow area)!

What animal exhibits are open at night
We noticed that most of the animal exhibits were closed but we were able to see some of the giraffes out.

@@dylanbarracks3509 you may be able see some of the other animals but the only ones we seen were the giraffes. Most exhibits were closed off.
It is definitely more about the lights.
I want to take my girlfriend here and I remember from when I was a kid there was mistletoe. Is it still there?

We didn’t notice any mistletoe but weren’t looking for it! So, unfortunately, I can’t say for sure!
