      @fiveminuteman  Před 3 lety

      Did you buy a proper Nissan fuel bulb? Quite a few of the after market ones are poor quality and you can risk air getting in the fuel system.

      @@fiveminuteman yes, I believe I have. Both ends have a one way valve ball and i have tested it with water and seems to pump ok. Is the fuel pumped to the filter, and then high pressure pump to cylinders? Ie, if I turn the engine over, should I see diesel come out of the filer connector pipe that connects to one of the fuel bulb pipes

      To be honest it's been the most unreliable car i've owned in 30 years. Rear inside parking brake exploded, windscreen wiper mechanism broke, windscreen wiper motor broke, sttarterr motor seized, crankshaft pully/harmonic balancer fell apart and aux belt fell off, turbo pressure pipe blocked, front suspension wishbones replaced,, rear handbrake shoes are £100 from nissan and needed as others wont work. the filter is empty after the change and has a thermostatic return valve witch is preventing from removing the air if you are priming it with all the pipes connected...
      So take out the return line coming from the diesel pump prime as needed and connected back to the filter as fast as possible not to let air back in ...
      This lack of care is one of the main enemy of the old Delphi injection systems!
      Take care!

      Get a mechanic to connect his ecu fault finder to do a diagnostic check to see if the glow plugs are functioning correctly. You can't detect some of these faults by just looking at the plugs. Tip : if you are in a breakdown scheme (AA, RAC etc) just move the car away from home (unless you've got 'home-start') and then turn them out saying the car won't start/warning light is on etc. They'll do a diagnostic check which will detect any faults or error codes...........It'll save you paying a garage to do the check & if you then take it in for repair you'll know what does & doesn't need to be done .
