Yes, It's been a rough few weeks for Zoey but with hydration she's revived. We will be bringing her in for bloodwork on Thursday to see any changes in her kidneys. Grace I’m sorry that the top didn’t work. As soon as you showed it on Fanny, I noticed the neck was very high. It is pretty material though. I can’t for the wrap dress. I’m so happy Zoey is still improving and getting back to her old self. And if you have to take time away again, I know I’ll wait until you are able to come back. ❤❤❤

Hi Grace! Happy for you and Zoey!! Our little Puff dog, he is a long haired Chihuahua, is doing well also. I liked the fabric on the ruffle top but it was not quite right. Cute pattern, though. The anorak jacket, now, those are so flattering but is one, if storebought, the waist hits me too high. I would love to find that pattern and make one that fits. I would go for snaps. Bless you!!

One size doesn't fit all, and neither does one style! Sometimes I try things on in the store and think, "Well, that was better on the hanger!" Same with patterns - I appreciate your sharing b/c I think you have few mishaps and now I feel a little better about mine 😄! Good news about Zoe and nice that she showed up to say hi to everyone who's been praying for her!
Forgot to say I'm with you on those Joann Halloween ads! We are going to be so sick of Halloween by the time it actuallyl comes around we won't enjoy it - and I used to enjoy it a lot! A marketing professor was interviewed about all the early pumpkin, Halloween, fall stuff in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and he said if people didn't buy stuff early, the stores wouldn't be doing this, so someone's buying it, I guess.

I think I would’ve felt the same if I made it, I’d like a V neck instead. We are very close in height and measurements, mine being smaller bust and wider hips. I am rethinking a few patterns I bought in a heated rush at the New Look 99 cent sale in the summer….LOL I lost my mind and just grabbed any possibilities. Yes, I grabbed so many even duplicates!! I may take the ties out and try it on with the V neck in the front. I'm sure I won't like it since the crop is to high. Well, I did enjoy sewing it so that's all that matters at this point. I think I would like it better minus the ruffle sleeves and lengthening the bodice by 2 inches. It's great to be back Aribella. Grace, I made up that anorak jacket a couple of years ago (there’s a video on my channel). It sewed up well. Perfect for Florida winter! And glad your Zoey is okay!

That DVV dress is one I had in my south African stash from the 70's. That dress will look stunning on you! Love the first one! I totally agree with your rant about Halloween. We do not celebrate it in South Africa, and it is overwhelming to see how big it is here!
Yes, I cut out the DVF pattern and I barely had enough fabric. I had to cut 3 inches from the skirt length. I hope it won't be too short YIKES! Halloween is annoying, especially when they start the ads in July! Zoey is getting bloodwork testing done on Thursday. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks so much.
I like the top but I understand you stating that its not your style. I would love to see the v in the front. Maybe ot is too much fabric and having the v will lighten it up. After seeing it on, yeah, I think having the v in front will help.
All that work in your top seems a pity to waste. It does have a back to front look, with the yoke and too high neckline. I think you should try turning it round, and seeing if you could wear it the other way round. The fabric looks so soft too. Congrats on your pattern win, and thanks for the videos.

I just found your channel and I like it. The new top is cute but… I don’t think ruffled, flutter, etc sleeves look right on women. IMHO I think those sleeves should be left for children and teens as they are childlike. I’m glad your Zoey is doing better.

Grace I’m sorry that the top didn’t work. As soon as you showed it on Fanny, I noticed the neck was very high. It is pretty material though. I can’t for the wrap dress. I’m so happy Zoey is still improving and getting back to her old self. And if you have to take time away again, I know I’ll wait until you are able to come back. ❤❤❤

Hi Grace! Happy for you and Zoey!! Our little Puff dog, he is a long haired Chihuahua, is doing well also. I liked the fabric on the ruffle top but it was not quite right. Cute pattern, though. The anorak jacket, now, those are so flattering but is one, if storebought, the waist hits me too high. I would love to find that pattern and make one that fits. I would go for snaps. Bless you!!

One size doesn't fit all, and neither does one style! Sometimes I try things on in the store and think, "Well, that was better on the hanger!" Same with patterns - I appreciate your sharing b/c I think you have few mishaps and now I feel a little better about mine 😄! Good news about Zoe and nice that she showed up to say hi to everyone who's been praying for her!
Forgot to say I'm with you on those Joann Halloween ads! We are going to be so sick of Halloween by the time it actuallyl comes around we won't enjoy it - and I used to enjoy it a lot! A marketing professor was interviewed about all the early pumpkin, Halloween, fall stuff in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and he said if people didn't buy stuff early, the stores wouldn't be doing this, so someone's buying it, I guess.

Well, I did enjoy sewing it so that's all that matters at this point. I think I would like it better minus the ruffle sleeves and lengthening the bodice by 2 inches. It's great to be back Aribella. That DVV dress is one I had in my south African stash from the 70's. That dress will look stunning on you! Love the first one! I totally agree with your rant about Halloween. We do not celebrate it in South Africa, and it is overwhelming to see how big it is here!
Yes, I cut out the DVF pattern and I barely had enough fabric. I had to cut 3 inches from the skirt length. I hope it won't be too short YIKES! Halloween is annoying, especially when they start the ads in July! Zoey is getting bloodwork testing done on Thursday. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks so much.

All that work in your top seems a pity to waste. It does have a back to front look, with the yoke and too high neckline. I think you should try turning it round, and seeing if you could wear it the other way round. The fabric looks so soft too. Congrats on your pattern win, and thanks for the videos.

I just found your channel and I like it. The new top is cute but… I don’t think ruffled, flutter, etc sleeves look right on women. IMHO I think those sleeves should be left for children and teens as they are childlike. I’m glad your Zoey is doing better.
