- This is a story about Saltyhead, a Cape Codder and some of his adventures while living by the sea. Over the years the ocean currents and the tremendous storms that slam the coast have been a persistent change to the shoreline of this remarkable sand bar that sticks out into the North Atlantic. The future is always uncertain but nature and the people that live here remain resilient.

I've been on the Cape off season in Wellfleet. So incredibly bucolic and quiet. Only stores in town were the Lighthouse restaurant (bar) and the liquor store. Everything else shut down.
