Only way Avs win this series is if Mac and Mak go to beast mode. We cannot certainly rely on the goaltending.
I'm in Winnipeg, so love from Canada!, for the past two weeks the media has called our Jets a joke and not worthy of being in the playoffs. Since those remarks the Jets have been on a 6 game winning streak and blanked the Stars and Avs, two teams they will likely face in the playoffs...I'm not sold on Hellebuyck...I much prefer Broissant...but both our goalies are capable if the need arises that one is having an off night. I'm a Jets fan that lives in Denver, and I was at this game. I was at the previous one in December too. I go almost every time the Jets come here. Obviously, I had a blast.

Jets fan here McKinnon, Makar and Rantanen are in a completely different tier than anyone on the Jets, the blue line on the Avs is better than the Jets. Jets have the best goaltending in the NHL and the deepest forward group (Perfetti, Kupari and a forward that played today will be scratches). Should be a good series McKinnon terrifies me.
As an avs fan though. The jets are able to be way more consistent. Your goaltending is elite yes avs defense lately has been beer league at best. I dont love Alex “3 goals in 10 shots” georgiev. But the D just doesnt show up. I really think jets are gunna sweep the avs

I know it’s not just goaltending, it’s defense with 2 of the “best” defenders in the game, it’s coaches who no one seems to be listening to, it’s motivation, pride whatever but there’s this UNDRAFTED kid named Matt Davis who has given up 3 goals in 4 games and won the National Championship. Lives 10 minutes from no-Balls Arena and is looking for a job, just saying

Todd Helton would only take rest days on the road, to reward Denver fans for showing up & supporting his team. He was a true Pro. That was not a Professional showing by the Avs.
The Avs threw this game to save their true strategy for the playoffs.

Jets are playing playoff hockey right now, Avalanche are playing preseason hockey. Simple as that. The level of desire to win favors the Jets tremendously

@@LGR0910Not just this season, last season as well. Since Bowness go there, hes picked up right where he left off with Dallas. Hes had our number 5-10 years now counting his times in Dallas. Been saying we'll be out 4-0 or 4-1 vs Winnipeg in the first rd since the first third of the season now.
I'm going to say something I thought I would never say. Does the Avs have a coaching issue. Bednar has been doing a terrible job holding the players accountable. Maybe the passion is gone after the Avs won the cup. Today was a brutal game, every player deserved the booing the fans gave them. I even left early which is something I don't do. If they play like they did today they won't get past the 1st round. And they would actually deserve it. Too many passengers. I'm actually sick at what I saw on the Avs bench not one player cared Again with the stupid penalties. A big thanks to Colton. MacKinnon and Makar was awful. I would love if someone could tell me I'm wrong.
Bednar has been getting his butt kicked by defensive coaches for years now. He never changes anything up. Thats why we always lose to Dallas, Minny, Vegas, Seattle and now Winnipeg. If we had a coaching issue, then weve had one for years. MacFarland has been the reason for our downtrend the last two seasons with dumb trades and moves. He needs to go before Bednar.

Ever since the cup team has seemed to have lost abit of work ethic and competitive fire. Forechecking also is not what it was. Defensive breakdowns and bad goaltending.

I agree , but its hard for anyone to play goalie in Colorado. We have to control games with our offense, and right now were not doing that. I get it, we gave up seven goals, but we also didnt score one. We're an offensive team, we need to hold the offense more accountable than our goaltending. Its where most of our cap is spent.

@@67fremen I've been saying since midway this team is not beating Winnipeg or Dallas. There was no point to try and load up at the trade deadline. Said Dallas would be. 4-2 loss, and Winnipeg a 4-0 or 4-1 loss. Hope they surprise me, but dount they will.
