Doku causing nightmares for defenders and that assist was golden glad to see Rodri again we missed him and Haaland and Alvarez incredible striking duo doing what they do best Foden was totally bossing the midfield as well

or just his decision making, from his 3 shots that i remember from seeing the game live, at least 2 would have worked better as passes for someone in better position, who could've shot better from said position.

But Alvarez has taken his chance and Doku is impressing for a young new signing. We can feel that Haaland is not as good without KDB providing him with assists every game but they are still comfortable in the league and in the champions league ...

What a Masterclass from Doku. The sky is the Limit is he improve his finishing and look up more. There're 4 clear easy goal scoring occasions, only if he just look up for Halaand or runners on the far post.
Plot twist: Julian Alvarez is actually an attacking midfielder and not a CF cos he has thrived better playing behind a striker. I think he has good vision and likes being involved in the play but as a striker he’s pretty much isolated upfront.
Ps: the two Newcastle games this season are good examples.

He has very rarely played as a solo striker for City, and when he has, he has scored. For River Plate and Argentina he was almost always a solo striker. That's his main position. He's not a 18yd box poacher so he's not gonna get ridiculous numbers because that's not what he brings to the game, but he still scores. Alvarez is very versatile, he can play anywhere in the forward line, but his main position has always been 9

@@user-dt7tg7rf1d He’s a lot more complete than aguero imo. Aguero was always a slippery 9 that could play outside the box as well, but alvarez literally does everything a football player could possibly do. Presses, Runs, Scores, Dribbles, Passes, Creates, Takes FKs, takes corners, defends, etc.
Doku's highlight here is a blueprint of how good he can be. He has dribbling and speed locked in already. Improvement on Vision and Shooting will immediately put him in best Winger in the league and the world atm.

I think Miitoma is a great playmaker, but just so so in terms of finishing ability, it's not surprising anymore that he wasted many chances each game, but he also creates the chances much more, so yeah...he's very promising

The issue is rather that he is very rarely in that position. Man City almost never counter-attack, so Haaland is forced to stand statically inside the box surrounded by defenders. That doesn't suit him.
