Small sphere travels through landscapes | The Aroma of Tea - Short Film by Michael Dudok de Wit

- This short film follows a small shape which travels purposefully and rhythmically through landscapes and which at the end merges into a large white sphere. Both the graphic brushstroke style and the music, with its almost haunting rhythm, are strikingly simple and direct. The theme of the film, a journey followed by a union, is timeless and has been told in countless different ways.

I'm obsessed with his style! Can't get enough of it!
Mee too. His style touches me.
it means the unescapable truth of the infinite search for nothing
Beautiful
It's a good screensaver 👍
Это, пожалуй, лучшая компиляция из концерта Альбинони. Лучше еще не встречал. Под такую музыку можно было точке и не двигаться - все равно получился шедевр ))))
C'est beau !
Great short
I drink coffee, I don't get this
mladthelad1 thats perfect
@mladthelad1 Just a joke, I got out of the film what I got out of it, though I appreciate your reply and your perspective.
Although it does have that sense of yearning to be scrutinised, examined and explored, I think it's better left as it is. We can all look at the dot and find something in it, though I personally find the bliss in not knowing the true intentions behind it. I really adore Dudok De Wit's filmmaking and direction, I've seen all his shorts and plan to watch Red Turtle soon!
The director just wanted to make a close-up of what happens when you heat a tea leaf in hot water.
this is the journey of coffee beans
❤
its about finding the right spot to die
What?
Maybe, maybe not
It's just one of those films, although it's just a dot, we can give it more meaning and read something completely different from it every time!
@@fornkly yes, I just thought it was a sperm getting to an egg.
@@anaiselramos56 🙄😳
@@fornkly hahahaha
My life as a small sphere.
sperm finding egg, thats all i can decipher from this
The struggle for nothing
people in the comments trying hard to find some meaning in nothing lol.
yeah so true its like in poetry or litterature people try to find meanings in nothing... the fact that there are alliteration, anaphora, metaphore, personification, simile and other figure of speech everywhere must be only a coincidence. a very strange one i have to admit
I fail to see the point of this video. There is no story or moral.
