I found a cranked plexi running through a Power Station an excellent way to heat a small room.

That diagram at 34:35 with the KHE switcher is exactly what I needed. Now need a diagram showing the same but using a processor like Helix or Fractal instead of a preamp. No external pedals, everything in the processor so no need for the loop.

I loved the old Testor’s model glue. I remember when you could buy it in the toy section of our local drug store. I could buy all the glue I wanted but the pharmacist refused to sell me cinnamon oil.

I feel like the Sig X origin rant was probably aimed at Krank. Even if it's not, I think back to that era and they were sponsoring everyone even though none of the artist who they sponsored recorded with them.

Just ran my UA Lion through my Powerstation into EVH cabs. Insaine!!! Lemme know where I can find those 1/4" input screws/caps. Missing a couple on the back of my Powerstation. Gets used live a lot!!!

If you build that system which is presented at 35:00 of this video, and make all those connections using cables with good quality plugs, just the plugs alone cost more than for example a 50W Boss Katana MkII. 🤓

1:44:04-1:55:00 great conversation. I don’t understand this either. I just bought a PS-100 from a dealer across the country. It has the sapphire blue front fascia which I actually dig more than I thought I might, and it has the dealers logo on top of the chassis which is a little odd since I’ve never been there but ultimately I don’t care, that’s fine. Why? Because I just wanted a PS-100 and that’s what was available that I could find, so I bought it. It’s that simple. Not sure why people have to make it any more complicated. Oh and I’m loving the Power Station by the way. Doing exactly what I wanted, breathing new life into all my tube amps.

Idea for new video: how does Steve get such great “vintage” sounds out of his Deliverance or UL amps? Most YT clips not done by Steve are either full chug or sterile and weak. And then Steve makes it sound like 1970 The Who!! What’s the mindset to unlocking such magic.

One of the best gear interviews on YT BTW - 2009 Sig:X NAMM interview with Dmitri! Video quality and sound are awful, the Russian accent, the interviewer constantly asking about features and which channel sounds like Ritchie Blackmore and Steve having absolutely none of it - so funny.
And for all of that… you can still distinctly hear Steve getting full thick meaty raunchy tones out of his creation that no one else does. All while dispensing high art musical philosophy and wearing a dashing velvet jacket!

Blind acceptance of a trope based on a concept that doesn't really solve the problem it purports to solve.
