Just can't mess with Australian cars ,these vl turbo came out like this in 87 only thing done is had the engine n trans build for more boost and it demolished this lightweight gremlin ,if yal yanks are impressed by that U should see our 2003 to late ford falcon XR6 turbo ,4 litre 6 cylinder turbo charged,they can run 10s on stock block just add more boost and your all good down under we call them the barra

Man, don’t the quotes ever get old?That movie was incorrect in just about every aspect of the car world. Like danger manifold 🤣 then the piece of metal floor board rips out 🤣. Funny how it’s more about saving the world now and less about the cars after they got called out in one. It’s because they know nothing about cars. Shit the only real car guy was Walker and a Porsche got him. Honestly the movies are a joke now. Show up to a street race with an sr20 motor 🤣 get gapped by everything from v6, v8, v12, to inline 6, and even a 4g63. Shit the vtec that it comes with is better in my opinion. Premium 🤣 no. Maybe if he had one of those Brian wouldn’t have gunned him down in the streets on a bike 🤣.

@@subiesnacks8446 yeah I can agree it’s different. But I can say the same thing about putting a pinto motor in a mustang, in the end it’s what works best to win the race if it’s a race car. Facts are Honda motors are better in the 4 cylinder world because they are more capable which is why you see so many k swaps and way less of sr swaps.

As a K series guy I love the SR20! Such a beast 4 cylinder from Nissan. This a really cool build.
My last car was a white 1987 VL Calais with the baby poo tan interior.
It was a sleeper with Walkinshaw rims and a chrome tailpipe. But underneath it had a VP EFI V8, T5 manual and and extractors, cold air intake. It was a build, 95\96, nobody was really putting efis into older cars like now. The guy that did his magic on it was am EFI guru.
In 2004 I sold it to a relo for $10k. I cry knowing how much they're worth now.

We have rusty pieces of shit here but there usually stock. When we build/modify cars in Australia we take a lot of pride in the presentation. We usually send the car off for painting before we put in a new engine. It's hard watching a lot of American CZcams channels because their cars are so messy and unkept.
