I watched this test footage last night, and now I think I've watched it over 20 times. There's something about this that just feels special. From the tone, to the music, to the shots, to costuming and makeup, everything just looks so amazing! I'd love to support this project in any way I can or even somehow get slightly involved with bringing it to life!

the grungy hip hop aesthetic is vary close to the books and im amazed by this! KICK-ASS and the HIT-GIRL comics are my on going collections. KICK-ASS 3 books are pretty good and what they did for making KICK-ASS not a single character from dave to a title is awsome aswell. huge fan of the first movie too.

The suit from the original movie was perfect. Maybe they could've lost the nose and mouth hole but it was perfect. It felt truly realistic and not glamorized. This is pretty damn cool and comic accurate in some ways but not in the rest. Still it looks VERY good and that's why I have a problem with it. That said, I'm very excited for your performance. That said, this looks so cool. You clearly know what you're doing and have made something awesome.

I don't know how you managed to do it, but this feels more like a comic book than nearly any other movie about comic books I've ever seen. The way this is colored, angled, the contrast, it works so well, this test footage might ad well have been a hype trailer! I'm stoked and gonna tune in for what you've got coming next
Yeah bro ngl at 0:15 that’s literally ripped straight from one of those edgy black and white comic books, plus the action (him spitting) right before feels almost panel to panel
at the end of kickass 2 it shows a metallic version of the kickass outfit which they probably tried to recreate and by doing that it shows how much effort they put into it just as far as the outfit

Based on actual defense and armor I feel like Kick Ass should implement some sort of eye protection or visor but from a comedic standpoint it would be funny to see him get pepper sprayed or sand in the eyes😂

The whole vibe of the film looks AMAZING!!!! I just love how gritty, yet comic like it all looks! It also has some kind of hip hop charm that other stuff like Deadpool, or into the spider verse has which I’m a huge fan of!! Anyways that being said, I wish you luck on making the finished product!! 😁

damn, this nails the feel of the comics almost perfectly: the actor definitely knows (and looks like) David Lizewski as the character and the music and lighting fit the wry and dark mood. Like others I think the suit (while bad fucking ass) is a far cry from the literal scuba suit he wears, but I think everything else more than makes up for it

Big daddy will probably look like his comic version since that already had a tactical look, and this new kick-ass suit has what a lot of modern marvel characters are doing is having these tactical suits like DareDevil, Captain America, Winter Soldier, and such and honestly though the original suit is some tight jumpsuit, the Kick-Ass suit fits the tactical look very well too.

I like the new look for the suit. The one in the original is more comic accurate but this one looks like it takes a lot of notes from ACTUAL real life superheroes like Phoenix Jones and others that were popping around awhile ago. The whole battle armor look is more realistic. Also I love the new actor and the vibe he gives off. He seems a lot less Hollywood and more like a grungy snot nosed prick, much more like Dave in that first kickass book.
I don't agree with the decision to cast an overweight person playing Dave. Dave is depicted as a skinny, bespectacled blonde kid in the comics and this guy looks like he's just eaten a cheeseburger for breakfast.
