Exploring enchanting Lake Sebu and it' surroundings, specially the Seven Falls (Dongon Falls) with the Highest Zipline in Asia. Lake Sebu is a natural lake located in the municipality of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. It's amazing place with really friendly people and beautiful nature.
The zipline is gorgeous, there is no other comparable in Philippines and even the little ziplines which I saw in Palawan or Mindoro are usually much more expensive than this one which is 250,- ₱ on weekdays / 300,- ₱ on weekends.
Nowadays, easily accessible falls are only falls number 1, 2 and 7. The concrete trail that leads to falls n. 5 and continue to n. 7 is washed out in few places by landslides and is overgrown and deserted. But you can still go there, just be careful because there are lot of snakes. Definitely bring a bolo, I luckily borrowed one from really nice family owning souvenir shop near falls n. 2. They showed us picture of huge king cobra which one of them recently killed and it looked really weird, it had huge scales compare to common king cobra. They said the army was throwing those snakes from helicopters into the area during Marcos era trying to force out the NPA and MNLF from the mountains. It's quite interesting, I would like to try find out more about this topic. Also I would like to get close to falls n. 3, 4 and 6 which was impossible this time because of landslides. So I hope we will go back soon :-) I really miss badly that amazing place, specially now when we are in Manila. These two places are like different worlds :-)
