The entire album is incredible. I will cherish it for life and pass it on to my family. They've been instructed to keep my data saved, perpetually, for some day in the future, when I am no longer here. I thoroughly enjoy this music. Music with Rhythm never goes out of style.
The natural conversation of the kids in the back picked up by the microphone adds a whole level of dimension to the song. What a stroke of genius!
Right at the beginning I was in doubt if leave them or not … than I though … am I mad: the SONG “IS” that “random chatting” like if for a moment you go back to the melancholy of when we where little child, full of imaginary hopes

I was single-handedly responsible for getting the The Strokes to play in Niagara Falls, NY, and although the air-conditioning broke at the show and it was literally packed, shoulder to shoulder, it was one of the greatest concerts ever, beside The Talking Heads, and my favorite band of all-time, The Tragically Hip. yk what's weird is i already had this liked, but don't remember listening. i'm going through a difficult time, trying to save my good friend from addiction (am 2 years sober), lost my best friend and brother July before last... the other day it was like the day I found out, just weeping uncontrollably. he was a deep, spiritual young man who struggled from mental disorders and too much empathy - he really kept the child alive inside him, and that child was constantly hurt because adults hurt each other. i miss him so much. somehow seeing these kids made me think about when he was little, and i felt like somehow we shared a moment through the veil. your music is amazing, but its seeing the humanity just break out of its shell gradually while hearing these truly human sounds, something about it is so haunting. i hope the human race can find its peace, more than anything.
