Fly Tier's Bench: How to Tie Dorsey's Top Secret Baetis Fly

- These days there are so many reasonably simple fly patterns that work well but have no soul or appeal to fly tiers. Pat Dorsey took a simple combination of materials and created a fly that is durable, quick, and fun to tie, and it not only gets the job done, but it also looks good doing it.
Based off the success of his remarkable Top Secret Midge pattern, Dorsey took a familiar route to alter that pattern slightly to create this effective Baetis imitation.
The beauty of this fly is that it is tied from very commonly available materials-for the most part, albeit with some necessary modern-day substitutions-and it is straightforward to tie. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Love that wing technique!
Ahhh so nice watching the master from my own backyard tie this pattern. Can’t wait to get down to the shop and spend all my gift cards my wife bought me! Cheers Master Charlie
Great detail to tie a masterpiece in the tiny fly world. Thanks Charlie !!!
So happy to finally be able to view this video. While the instructions in FF magazine were pretty detailed, seeing how this is tied makes a world of difference. I was struggling with the legs and the tie off point so now I think I can clean those up! Thanks for sharing, as always… 🙌🏻🎣
🎉 BOOM - SHAKA 🤙🏻 - LAKA CHARLIE 🎉 Thank YOU for the superb Tutelage !!!!!!

One of my local fly shops had a DynaKing Pro on display. That cam lever feels like a bank vault closing.

Maybe one day good ol Mr Hankins will start making that sheeting 😁
Apparently, Charlie is selling it in his store the V2 version.

on the DK Pro -- do you know if DK will offer the new, updated jaw for us older, long time Pro users?
Yes, they’re working hard to catch up with vise production right now but jaws for all models are coming!
thanks heaps!
