@@breadbug6101 I am not an expert, but I had play enough war of warship to distinguish between battleship and cruiser. I say it is a battleship because the main battery seem to be too big and too much for cruiser. I might be wrong since I don’t play much of the other roles. I mainly play battleship. And destroyer ship and carrier should be easily recognizable compare to other class. I am confident this ship is battleship, but I might be wrong.

I see this is humor and is meant for fun, just don't read as some guy who didn't smile for 10 years is saying this, but as to know why they stopped firing, the plane was 90° above the ship wich forced the gunners to rotate the turrets to the other side so they can keep shooting😄 also ik ya'll know this but hey there has to be some ppl who didn't know!

The guns need to rotate after they hit 90 degrees to keep hitting the target. Plus Japanese 20mm AA guns had difficulty firing above 20 degrees elevation

Gunners had to readjust and retarget due to the 238’s location (from what it looked like) passing directly over the top of the cruiser.. therefore, the AA battery had to spin to retarget.

This is IJN Mikuma, a heavy cruiser, not battleship. By the way, when using manual control for AA, you can actually shoot those bombs out of the sky to prevent them from hitting

This is a cruiser and no IJN cruiser had three gun turrets during the war but IJNS Oyodo who's quarterdeck did not mount turrets.

its a Mogami class heavy cruiser (or light, Mikuma is on her original fit)

In this case it's a light cruiser because of the triple barrel turrets. Those were only used with the original 152mm guns. After the refit with the 203mm guns (which turned them from a light into a heavy crusier) they only had 2 barrels per turret. They were even desigend to accomodate the 203mm guns but were launched with 152mm guns because of treaty restrictions so they didn't even need to modify them a lot.

Its actually a heavy cruiser, and they stopped shooting because of the blindspot directly above your ship that none of your guns can actually aim for due to superstructure. Its also due to the fact that the guns have to rotate once the enemy is technically behind you. IJN AA was never the best anyways.

My guess is gun elevation. The 25mm has a max elevation of 85°. That or reload, since the 25mm has to reload its belt or magazine often
