  • What's the best small camping ax to add to your pack? In this video, I'll review what may be my favorite hatchet - the Husqvarna Camping Axe.
I highly recommend checking this out: amzn.to/2IscwVc

This small axe cuts through douglas fir and hardwood alike, making preparing kindling easy and also comes sharp enough from the factory to carve wood to make stakes, and makes its way through decent sized rounds in no time.
You'll be able to use this axe perfectly for smaller jobs.

Decent video sir. I appreciate that you didn't just talk about it and then show 35 seconds of use. I support your freedom to cut stuff how you want (even if I don't agree with the method), however, it might be slightly more responsible, just in case someone new or inexperienced is watching, to give a short disclaimer that cutting things the way you're about demonstrate is not advisable and will almost certainly result in serious injury, and then recommend that people watch a video or 2 about axe/hatchet safety before going at it. Sometimes setting a good example can be more important than doing the easiest or most familiar thing.

After I watched this VDO, I brought Husqvarna Camping AXE for camping with my son.
It’s a good tool for us, nice and handy.
    I pay 2,990 baht in Thailand. (85USD in 2023)
I sand the handle last night and plan for sharpening it in near future.
Thanks for made a good VDO for us

I'm lucky enough to own one of these. Awesome piece of kit. They are extremely sharp from new but not anywhere near the full potential. Once the edge is shown a bit of TLC, these axes can easily become literally razor sharp.! You can push cut through a piece of paper no problem at all. They feel a bit on the heavy side until you actually start putting it through its paces. Then you soon realise how the weight reduces the need to swing it down fast. This gentle and smooth action means you strike exactly where you want to each time. The handle itself i would describe as having 'two settings'. The normal grip for chopping , and another grip below the head for finer work. These things also keep their edge. For the money....? They are definitely snapping at the heels of the big boys who rule the market. These axes give you everything you are looking for in an axe...plus more. I wouldn't even bother looking around for another axe if I wanted another one in the future, I'd just go straight for one of these.
DISCLAIMER: I do not work for Husqvarna in any way ,shape, or form. I am not on any kind of sales commission.
I have typed this up in the hope that some of you might trust my word and save yourself a lot of money if you are looking to own an axe in the top division.
    You won't regret it.👌

When I purchased mine about 6 years ago I could cut paper with it... Then I worked the edge with a circular stone and you could shave with it! My son will be getting this one... From cutting trees to making kindling this axe does it all....

@@STOKERMATIC Bill, Ironically ACME Tools made me wait till after 5 weeks had transpired whereupon they emailed me an invoice CANCELLING my order stating as a reason that the 26" Multi purpose axe had been DISCONTINUED! I always wondered why they had the same axe listed at $95 as well as at $127. What the reality turns out to be is they merely discontinued the lower priced SKU and now only offer it at the higher price! SCREW ACME TOOLS! I immmediately ordered one from Amazon at $129 and will never do business with ACME TOOLS again! Talk about BAIT & SWITCH!

Loved the video, thanks for making it! I agree that Hultz Bruk doesn't spend as much time on the Husky heads as they do their own. They finish their's with a gorgeous convex grind, versus Husky's quick and sloppy flat grind; but, that's why it's half the price. What ever came of the customization of your Husky axe?

Ive had the husqavarna carpenters axe for a couple years and its a great axe. Bought a council tool axe the other day for 150(over 2x the price of the carpenters axe)and they hung the handle lopsided. You cant go wrong with any sweedish made axe. Atleast they know how to hang an axe and use decent enough steel.
