'Rats' was released in 2018 on Ghost's fourth album 'Prequelle'. This was the song that made me a Ghost fan.

I saw ghost live a few weeks ago and their drummer kicks double bass…you’re only kickin single bass and it’s completely on point. Rad.
The drummer has been using single bass up until this album/tour cycle. I think on this song he still uses single bass kicks and the second bass drum is only there for Twenties, even though they haven’t played it live yet. :)

He’s definitely kicking double on a few songs. Mary on a Cross In particular. I suppose he could just be kicking single. I manage to replicate it kicking a single drum. I just tighten the spring a little bit and position more of my toe towards the lower middle of the pedal, then sort of flick from my toe to my arch…not that I need to explain technique to you. I’m still an amateur more or less. Bass is my expertise. I think I’m actually pretty good drumming considering. Ghost is the reason I can play drums. I was never able to coordinate my feet and hands. And I’m left handed. Then one day I started trying to play cirice and I was able to do it. And within a year I was able to play a majority of the catalogue. Rats, Kaiserion, Pinnacle & the pit, Spillways, Little sunshine, Mary, year zero probably my favorite tracks to jam with.
I've been playing drums since middle school and over time I've learned how to bounce the kick head to make it sound similar to double bass

Just learned this one. (Using ghost as a guide to learn drums). Definitely one of my favorite songs to jam along with. I do it a little differently (you’re much more accurate).

Nailed it, and for me this is one of my favorite tracks by them bc of the drums. Their drummer comes up with some awesome beats. I friggin love the drums in this track

Thanks :) Actually I started playing Kaisarion but I rarely get to drumming and I want to get every detail perfect before I cover it. But gonna cover it in the near future for sure!
