DIY: MACRAME ANGEL | STEP BY STEP | MACRAME CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

- I hope you all enjoy this macrame angel tutorial as much as I enjoy making these! There are so many ways you can customize these and put your very own creative spin on them, change the hair, the colour or style of the dress, add arms and legs if you want, change the size shape or style of the wings, etc. How ever you decide to make yours, I hope you love it as much as I do!
Please note: for the wings we use the Diagonal Clove Hitch knot, this one can be tricky, so if you need some extra help with it please watch this video before you attempt the wings, I think it will be very helpful!

MEASUREMENTS:
HEIGHT: 8inches/20cm, not including hanger.
WIDTH: 5inches/15cm
For this video I mostly used up scrap pieces I had left over from other projects, so I am not able to list where I got some items from but here is what I know for sure: the 2mm 3ply rope for the wings is from Ganxxet, the wooden bead is 1in/2.5cm and I got it from my daughters craft supplies and have no idea where it was purchased, the 4mm single ply for the dress is also from Ganxxet, and the 4mm multi-ply rope for the hair, I believe may have been from Amazon, many, many years ago! This in one of those projects where you can use up a lot of those scraps, and other that the wings, you can most definitely use shorter lengths if that is what you have!
I know I have posted to alot of your tutorials, but I want to do so again. Thank you again and again and again for sharing your creativity with us. Thank you for the hard work that goes into taking the time to make these videos available and opening yourself up to the "miserable" people of the world also among those of us who are so grateful for you. I can't believe people actually post rude comments on other craft/artist channels. Y'all are taking the time to share your ideas and inspire others. Who cares if it's perfect or not or whatever. Creativity is in the eye of the beholder. I am so thankful for your channel. I was having a hard time with understanding certain things and you make such clear, patient, creative tutorials.
I can rewind, fast forward, or slow down when I need it. Others should do the same.
Sorry for the rant, I was raised "kindness first."

@@soulfulnotions2648 Oh, I do! Because of you and your lessons, I gave completed a first piece I can be proud of and give as a gift to my oldest daughter for her upcoming baby girl's room! I am soooo excited! ( : I did it on a ring to start, which was a little harder, I think, but I used a start you shared and then took the knots I learned from you and finished the bottom my way. I am a floral designer too, so I am dying some salmon pink sola wood flowers to add to it and my granddaughter will be named Gracie, so am having a wooden sign with her name on it made to put across the empty top part of the ring! Aaah creo q perdí el año con vos .... Pues noo te entiendo nadaa , no sé cómo se llama el material q estás utilizando , está muy lindo y fácil para hacer , la cabeza es de madera o icopor . Se puede hacer con pita ? Es mejor sin hablar y escribir la lista de materiales , así todos lo entenderiamos , cantidad de hilos , tamaño (medida)etc, etc,etc. Graciaaas te quedó monicimo 👍👌

Curious... all I have is 2mm. do you think doubling the number of cord for the dress would work or would it look...yucky?
I think it would look just fine! For the dress part it doesn’t have to be structured so you could use all kinds of cord, even yarn could be very beautiful!❤️
