Wish I actually knew how well these pencils color but unless I can actually try them myself by buying a small package of eight or ten I can’t waste money buying a product I’ll never use.
I've got a couple videos where I've used them so you can get an idea how they color. Let me get a link.....also Kalour has much smaller sets so you can try them out and not spend over 100.00
I’ve seen the smaller sets of 50 or 75 but their still @25-35$ a set for me and It would be nice to just be able to buy a small box of 12 or something for a couple bucks to try out.
@@lennoxraynewood2741 I wonder if Michael's or Hobby Lobby has them out to sample? I know a few I have been in will have different pencils out so they can be tried out.
I checked, the 520 swatch sheet is not arranged in the order that the pencils come. Its close but i think the girl who made it arranged her pencils more color coordinated than how they arrived. I wonder how i can send you a pic of it.
@@belindademery4519 I am happy with how they were color coordinated straight from the box. It's just how they did the swatch sheet and expected us to be moving all the pencils around. Who has time for that? Lol. I am planning on doing a follow up video so I can demonstrate how they look swatched and how I used the chart they sent....I just swatched by tray, not number.
I personally like the Kalours better. They are softer then the Brutfuners and lay down a lot more color. I have to use several layers with the Brutfuners to get the same effect as one layer with the Kalours.
@@Dreaminglonewolf I have the Brutfuner 520 set and in my opinion they are not softer. The lead is hard and for me takes several layers to get the color I want. Maybe I got a bad batch!
@@CathysouthwesternColors I got the 180 Brutfuner a few years ago , may they are different in quality , Anyway I have the 260 Kalour and I think 520 is to much for me to organize 🤣🤣🤣
@@Dreaminglonewolf I bet they are different batches, seems some companies have changed their formulas quite a bit over the last few years. I got mine about 2 years ago. 520 is quite a lot to organize but I couldn't pass up so many colors! I'm definitely set for years with all the colored pencils I have! Lol
Swatching is putting a sample of each color in a box with the number and name of each color. The chart that I showed in the beginning is the outline I will use to color each box with a color. I'm probably not explaining it very well! I'm going to do another video showing one tray of colors swatched out so it makes more sense.
This set costs 130.00 now on Amazon, I put a link to them in the description....I put them on my Amazon wishlist and waited for them to go on sale for 99.00.

The brutfuner are softer , but the best are polychromos and prismacolor
