I don’t know about when,this came out, first time, I seen that but, their tv series was over, I think it was like 73 when, I was in kindergarten and, I watched them in repeats and, it was on like on only 6 yrs! Then, come the 90s it was the Brady Brides and, all the new specials came out and that’s when, part 2 of the Christmas Special came out!
He takes himself very seriously and it’s funny. He’s fairly talented but so are many others. He doesn’t stand out. But I can’t sing or dance so I really shouldn’t comment.
I use to not really notice father brady being Gay, but now it really shows how Gay he really is! This is probably the stuff he enjoyed the most in show biz.

I've never been that much of a fan of the sitcom necessarily, so my first thought is, was the Brady Bunch hugely popular enough to justify putting this show on. Either way, it has a strangely compelling quality to it. I think the kids are more interesting a little older as they are here, and there's some high energy here. Barry , Maureen, Susan, and "Jan" seem really into it, and there are some dancing moments of gold from Maureen in this show, not just this video but the whole 9-episode run. Susan is adorable in this video. But having Alice participate in the song and dance stuff gave the show a really surreal quality and was just weird. This is wild stuff.
The two-fer DVD was put out before the music industry began charging ridiculous fees to re-license songs for home video. There were plans to issue a complete series set when the behind-the-scenes book was released, but the staggering number of songs (altogether, more than 100 in the 9 episodes) made it cost prohibitive.
Eve opted out. Good decision. If she had doubts I think after watching the first episode her confidence returned. Cheesy bit of nostalgia for us '70's kids. I'm sure at the time I thought this was groovy.

When I watch WW now I appreciate the campiness a great deal but can see why the others in the house were mortified by it.
