I'm 29 years old, nearly 30 and I love your videos. You're like a real grandma that I never had, sharing wisdom with me. That you so much for what you do, Sandra ❤️
I totally agree with you, my friend. These advices are really valuable for us, especially for young generation
Same here im turning 30 in the next 2 months. I need this wonderful inspirational advice to a person that has a lot of wisdom to say in life.
For real 💯💯 .
And I'm 19 years old☺️ I'm glad and thankful for hearing this kind of advice😍
Me too am 31,
I’m an English learner from Poland. I’ve always wanted to be perfect so that I was afraid of speaking to everyone because I thought somebody could laugh my accent or my mistakes. This isn’t how we succeed, how we move forward. Thanks for reassuring me in that. You’re adorable Sandra ❤️🙏🏽
Same 🙄
I have finally learned that perfection equals paralysis. So many things I could have done in my life but didn't because I didn't think I could do it perfectly. I wish I had realized sooner. Thank you for these words of encouragement and wisdom.. I'm in my sixties now and I thought that I didn't have any more chances but when I see how vibrant you are in your 80s I am so encouraged that there's still a lot more I can do. Thank you
Yes, that’s true.
Eva, Your story is my story. Same decade of life and your comment about paralysis is so true..... never thought of it as the counterpart of perfection. Thank you for that. Sandra gives us all such hope.
I had never heard that phrase “perfection equals paralysis “ I will remember it when I hesitate & go into procrastination mode. Thanks
‘Perfection is the lowest standard because it can never be achieved’ - quote from a US marine. I totally agree 🙏😉😘
I often meditate on the quote "Comparison is the thief of joy". This could be expanded to add "Perfectionism". I think a lots of our thoughts about perfection come from comparison. Thank you for the video. ❤❤
Excellent!
I totally agree with you. I always compare myself with others. This is a big problem for me
It's easy to be critical of ourselves. Some one once told me be kind to Sandy. I was at a loss for words as I pondered that comment. So my comment to those of you too who are self critical is to be kind to yourselves! Your perfect and unique just the way you are!🥰
❤️
@@Goldendoodlewinnie True. I do not want to race with anyone else
My mother passed away 8 years ago. She'd be 78 this year. We used to talk all the time, she was my absolute best friend. However, I still feel there was so much left to talk about. I like to imagine I have these conversations with her. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom.
Back in the late 70s and early 80s, I had a band director that always said "perfect practice makes perfect" At that time, it meant that if you practice something wrong over and over, then it will never improve or be perfect. It has taken on a whole new meaning for me now that I am 57 years old. Now, it means for me that I need to just be myself and don't worry about being perfect. No one is perfect. Thank you Sandra for your visit this morning!
Thanks for sharing this with us today. Great advice.
My life is currently a mess. Multiple surgeries and pain. The scars are hard to deal with and I have mobility issues. I was perfect for me but now my life feels like a cruel joke and it's just plain difficult. Coping with the new old me has been a journey and not a very good one. I used to be out going but now I am stuck a home all the time. I don't know when it gets better but I hope it does someday soon. That would be perfect!!!
@@lesafowers8142 oh I’m so sorry to hear that my dear, I would like us to be friends so will can play. You can text me with my gmail on my profile…
What a beautiful message, my friend. Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
You and your videos are such a blessing. I’m only 25, but I absolutely adore your videos, your spirit and perspectives as I grow into this stage of my womanhood. Bless you!!!🫶🏽🥰
Oh Sandra, you are such an inspiration! I have lived a life of anxiety and depression. My mother has mental health problems too as well as mobility, so I have to come to terms with multi generational living for which I feel ill equipped. I try to live my best life, and you remind me so much of my beloved Gran, and following you makes me feel a warm gentle hug and a nudge of encouragement. Thank you xxx
Best of luck to you Lara. You are so kind!
I have bad anxiety and a form of ptsd from childhood sexual abuse. Have you tried any meds? Zoloft and or Prozac takes it pretty much away. Zoloft however makes me kinda drowsy but not my son.
@@angelgirldebbiejo I've been on everything, been on Prozac for years. I'm 53 and life's been a struggle, but I've started taking the mindful living approach. I'm blessed with a wonderful son who was my saving grace in my younger years, and now grandchildren. Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate your kindness. Lara
@@larayarrington4794 hi Lara I’m happy to hear that
Dear Sandra you maje me so happy, you are are real friend, thiugh virtuel... but thats how we relate today with many, you stories and viewpoints are so like mine, ... I too was a professional, 3 kids and single mum... etc... and now 81.... and Love and ENJOY my life as pensioner... I worked for 45 years all over the world, took the kids along when they were young .... I enjoy listening to the lessons you learned your humor your never give up your genialt.... a d beUtiful home, clothes and make up ...its such a treat to have you in my universe... and in my home... talking to me from the screen... you make me laugh, not my head, and smile... its so good to know others feel like me about aging... I love it and appreciate it... so thank you Sandra
I'm actually quite bored by perfection (and/or the appearance of it). I love, appreciate, and celebrate the imperfections of people.....these "flaws" are beautiful to me. And there is grace in that.....I give others the grace to be just as they are and hopefully they give me grace to be my own flawed, human self.
I would still like to drop off some pounds though 😅
Thank you Sandra, have a blessed day!!🙏🙌🌻
That is such a wonderful way of thinking. I will try and adopt it. I'm Patricia too by the way.
So well said! Thanks so much
@@patsy6589 Thank you! I guess I find that a lot of people try to present an outer appearance of having it all together in life.... but life is messy, and like Sandra said, it's ok not to have it all figured out. Let's just be ourselves! Perfection is for God, not us, and I'm thankful to be released from the burden of trying to attain it 🙏 Patricia is a great name 😉 Enjoy the rest of your week!
@@lifewithsandrahart Thank you so much Sandra. It's always a delight to "meet" you here🙂
@@patriciaholloway I think you suspect that those who seem perfect are inauthentic. 😉
Thank you Sandra. I allowed perfection to destroy my life. Fear of doing something stopped me. Procrastination. These are enemies of ours. Fear is real only if we listen to it. It’s not real otherwise, only in our minds. There is an acronym FEAR. False Evidence Apprearing Real. I had all the knowledge, but didn’t act on it. It’s about action, not only thinking about it. There is a too late, if we’re stubborn and don’t do what we know we have to do, please don’t put off any longer. ❤️
Maria, thank you for this comment. Specially for that acronym about FEAR. Have a blessing day!🙏❤️💐
Thanks so much for sharing that with us! Excellent!
"Everything has a season... we have seasons" I just loved the connection/comparison to nature. It's always good to keep that in mind♡
Dear Sandra, this was the message I needed to hear when I woke up this morning. I have been so hard on myself for trying to be the perfect grandma to my two little grandchildren. They are 3 and 16 mos. I guess it's my daughter, their Mom, I am trying to constantly be there for, really. And I have a hard time saying no to her. She asks for babysitting regularly and help in other ways and I put on my most cheerful face but it's exhausting! Last night I finally said no to one request and now I know I'm in "hot water." I don't have the perfect energy I had when raising my three children.....It's very hard when I can't be the perfect grandmother my daughter wants me to be.
Betg u don't have to be perfect to be.perfect grandma, u have done your best in the past to baby seat your grandchildren and when your body can't then say no you can't.
U owe one an explanation.
Gd day
We have to remember we’re not young parents any longer. Our energy level while good or great for our stage in life can be drained by pressure put on us. It’s not wrong to say no, you don’t always have to put on a cheerful face and say yes to every request. There are times when we still have to teach our adult children to be considerate of others. I know how you feel and I have to take my own advice at times 🙂
We have to realize and not feel guilty that we can’t be all things to everyone all the time. You are a great grandma to your grandchildren and a wonderful mother, but you do have to set boundaries. She will not love you less, but hopefully, respect your time and energy more. Sometimes our children forget we are not 35 anymore! We have to remind them.
My mother made it plain that it was my choice to have children and that she was not going to look after them or babysit as she had worked for fifty years and wanted to do her own thing in her retirement. I respected that. I agree about stepping back and evaluating. Makes sense. Always lovely to see and hear you Sandra.
@@marybarratt2649 My mom did the same. She said "you had them.....". I was hurt by it for a long time, I wanted my kids to have the kind of childhood with grandparents that I had. But I totally respect her decision because she has always held a full time and part time job and had a farm and new husband at that time so her hands were beyond full already!
When I wrote my final exams at age 17. I said to my father... I do not think I can do it!
He said to me: "Just do your best. Nobody can do more than jjis best!"
That was a very good phrase to remember my whole life.
I love to sketch and paint with water colors. For years I put the pencils and brushes away because quite frankly I'm not that good.🤷♀️ I will be 60 this year and I have picked them up again. I love it! It doesn't need to be perfect, I just need to enjoy it.
I have been a perfectionist for years. I think that it is good for self care, but not anything else. I have been delaying things because of perfection and I will try to get over it asap!
Perfection is so time consuming, mind wearing & joy robbing! Thank you for the reminder Sandra 💕
How true is that!
I agree, perfectionism runs you ragged and unhappy.
Yes Sandra, live & let live! Even in mundane chores, such as ironing, done is better than perfect. Thank you again my dearest, hugs!
I think that perfection or trying to attain perfection rather than competence and progression makes one stiff.. and when one is stiff, it is so difficult to learn and progress.. Perfectionist manner is ignorance driven by fear (fear of critisim, fear of not meeting certain group's expectation, fear of not being number one everywhere, etc.).. In my opinion, it is opposite to learning and progressing.. thank you Sandra.. I love what you share, I am a big fan ❤
I’m 27 and love your advice xxx
Thanks so much
Thank you so much for your uplifting words. I`m a woman at 40 from Scandinavia, and I find so much value from watching your videos!
I find it true that it is hard to even start projects because of perfectionism. You got me thinking, that it can be good to just start what I want to do, and not over think everything. Thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Sandra.
Thank you Sandra 💕
That's a great way to look at things! Thank you! 🤗🌻

Good morning Mrs. Sandra, you’re 100% correct, no one is perfect. I would say that the only person that is perfect is God. We all learn by doing( practice), and it’s okay to make mistakes.
So true!

Love how beautiful and emphatic you spoke this truth that I needed to hear tonight. Thank you! So clear and I will be playing it tomorrow again! John Steinbeck quote I recently read , “ And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good”! What a relief! Bless you for shining your light on this truth !!
Thank you. I love you. You are so good.🥰
I needed to hear this right now. Thank you, your loved ❤
really really needed to hear that, thank you!
Great message, thanks for the reminder 🌹
Hello Sandra
I think striving for perfection can really harm a person. Sometimes it's caused by an over critical parent. The child ends up being fearful or insecure of trying anything, for fear of criticism and/or rejection. Once one realizes nothing is perfect and it doesn't really matter, it's certainly not the end of the world, one is more free to tackle things. And what a weight off one's shoulders that is!!!!!
True. Thanks for sharing your thoughts today
No one is perfect anything I do here on planet Earth I do it to the best of my ability as long as you believe in yourself you could accomplish anything thank you Sandra for the message say yes bless as you are and continue to inspire others love you bye 💙💚💛💜❤️🧡👍👍👍👍
You are my all time favorite Sandra. Such a pleasure watching you

Sandra, this is the first time I’ve ever watched your channel. I can totally relate to this conversation. There are so many things I would like to do, but I procrastinate and never do them, because I want it to turn out perfect. Then I feel like a failure because I never get anything done!
Dear Sandra, it's so true we don't have to be perfect. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙏 I love it. ❤️
Thanks so much
I love it.And I have done it all my life....try to be perfect.
