  • Gelendzhik is a resort town in the Krasnodar region on the Black Sea coast. Everyone likes it here: as early as the 6th century BC, the Greeks, then the Goths, Huns, Italians and Ottomans stopped in the bay. The settlement acquired its modern name at the end of the 15th century, when it became part of the Ottoman Empire, which arose on the site of Byzantium. The former Eptala became one of the main places for the export of young slaves to Turkish harems. The new name - "Gelendzhik" - means "white bride" in Turkish
The swimming season in Gelendzhik lasts from May to October, the water warms up to 25 °C. And it is also simply very beautiful here - see for yourself.
