Chris J.P. Black no one is denying what all Juliette did for Nick. But people change they evolve they mature, relationships change. If not we would all be with our first love which doesn't happen all the time in RL and neither does it happen in most fictional shows. Even Nick and Eve acknowledge that they are not who they are used to be. Each character on the show went on a journey, and I personally liked the fact that where or who we started the show with isn't where we ended it.

It's only natural that eventually she would start calling him that since he's the father of her brother, with Adalind still 20 years later, growing up together, and being good parents and Nick is obviously protective of Diana and cared for her.
