I Made A DIAMOND D20 Dice!!!

- I have recently become obsessed with dice, specifically Gem Stone dice. There is Amethyst, Tiger’s Eye, Turquoise and almost every other Gem Stone you can think of, except for one….Diamonds. For some reason I couldn’t find a manufacturer that uses Diamonds in their Dice, So I made a Diamond D 20 with 10 carats of Real Diamonds!

I doubt I'll fill it with diamonds, but seeing how well that molding went, I think I'll finally break down and try making resin dice myself.
I have a mean idea to make a D20 in clear resin with a dollhouse scale "helium" balloon under the 20 and a lead fishing weight under the 1 for a friend. Perhaps even leave it without paint for the numbers except the 1 in bright red. 😂
(I am asking around my circle of friends to make sure that's not in poor taste first. I don't play so I don't know what things are sore subjects, but he's the sort of person who bonds over picking on each other.)

I wonder if doing sets using rubies, or sapphire or emeralds (etc) might be good? They would certainly be cheaper.
Put it all into the mold and set it in a rock tumbler that is packed to the brim with sand. The rotating motion should keep it in suspension.

You should look for industrial diamond flakes. You can get them in "bulk" easier
I've never heard of diamond flakes before, I will definitely check those out!
Great video, super well done as always. How do you make sure the die is balanced as you’re adding layers of diamonds in the resin?
Thanks! I'm so glad you liked the video! As far as balancing the dice, I took note of approximately how many diamonds I was adding to each layer and tried my best to match it for each subsequent layer. It's definitely not exact, but the dice turned out surprisingly balanced when I test rolled it. If there is enough interest I’d totally do a balance testing video, although I fear watching me roll a dice a hundred or so times might be a little boring lol.

I looked up the diamond you mentioned and it's 545.67 carats?!?! I can't even begin to imagine how much that would cost lol!

Yep! I used all 10 carats of the diamonds I ordered in this dice
