I had food poisoning once, and it was nowhere even near to NL situation, and I still felt like so incredibly bad I had a bunch of moments I got genuinely scared, or somewhat panicky that I was in big trouble.
And after a god forsaken night spent at the hospital, which also just traumatized me by allowing me to see firsthand how much stuff doesn't work and how many incompetent mfers walk around being absolute dumbfucks as if peoples lives didn't possibly depend on them, I took like a week to recover, which isn't much, but it was crazy bcs it rlly wasn't that bad of a food poisoning case, and it still completely knocked me out for a week,.
All that to say I can't even fathom how bad NLs situation was, but I do have a slight idea of the frustration of the medical services being absolute dog water and then you look back and you're like "i had a plastic bag of fking stomach liquid that I keep throwing up, for hours and hours as I was sitting there waiting just to be acknowledged, just for the head doctor to look at me and say "dude why are u wearing that (hoodie on) no wonder you feel like that, take it off" like... How fking shit do you have to be as a doctor and a person to say to someone who has been for 7 hours in a plastic chair, with no sleep, food poisoning, intravenous serum from a poorly inserted needle, shaking in cold and tell them that to their unresponsive face"
It's crazy man, i could barely say a word but im that moment every part of me was trying to gather strength to ask the doctor if they are actually serious or if they just like to act as if they eat ice cream with their forehead

@@TSJ99 it definitely sucked in the moment. But looking back, it's like I said, I feel like the whole situation just made it feel 3 times worse than it needed to be, or than it really was. Even if I threw up so much my muscles were sore for an entire week yk?
So like, imagining this, a non life threatening situation and how bad it felt not just in of itself but with the added frustration and trauma from the whole treatment I got, and putting it even worse scenario on top of an actual life threatening situation, genuinely makes me have the utmost respect for NL for fighting through it
