I would never have predicted that 15 years ago, that Hyundai and Toyota will be kings of affordable performance cars today.
Toyota I could’ve. They’ve always made affordable sports cars that were decent
@@tumsfestival8027 hyundai used to be trash and people were made fun of for owning them... now I own a Veloster N and I still can't believe it's the same company
@@tumsfestival802715 years ago was 2009. At that time, Toyota had no actually sporty cars in the lineup that were worth talking about. It seemed that the F division and Lexus would be where they invested in performance. Super happy they've changed course now
Approved by Drift King himself.
The real driving simulator
If you think real simulators are about simulating engine sound, sure? Maybe you think Forza is a simulator.
imagine racing in the future...who's car sound the best? the one who downloaded the best exhaust sound
And they say there is no drivers EVs 😂❤❤
A lot of car for the money
not for the easily confused
How is this an suv? I’d say it’s a big hatch back.
Yea kinda wagony
hyundai sells ioniq 5 as a model Y competitor. if you think about it any model Y competitor can be a hot hatch if they lower it and make it look more aggressive. but yeah, this is a big hatch.
Marketing. America are weird. They will not buy hatch but they will buy the exact same cars if it labeled as a crossover or SUV.
Never actually seen one up close huh
Yes, more like a sport wagon, I lowered my EV6 version of this, although the original 320hp one that has split "SUV of the year" awards with the Ionic5, but anyway, I refer to it as my "EV sport wagon" it really is decent size with the same wheelbase as the Telluride
1080p is a joke in 2024😂
Bots bots bots
Looks cool, just hope it sounds better than in the video, that sounds like a cheap kids game
Three different sounds to choose from but yeah, the sound they use throughout this video is the most realistic one, but probably the only thing even mildly disappointing with this, hehe
Hyundie
Pinto owner?
Saomi owner
at the track, but does not official laptime....why bother then.
Why people still can't or won't (Ignorance) pronounce HYUNDAI, the way it should, HYUN-DAI (Like sun-day). It's not that difficult. You don't see people mispronouncinh Honda, Tesla, etc. Is the word Hyundai really that difficult to pronounce? SMH.
There's a different generally accepted pronunciation for Hyunda in UK/Europe (where Joe is from). And neither the UK nor the US pronunciation are accurate to the true Korean pronunciation. Whereas in the US the "Hyun" part is pronounced like "Hun" in Korean it's more like if you were to say "HE-un" fast.
@@SteveHarrellRally I never see UK/EU reviewers mispronouncing other brands like Honda, Toyota, Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Fiat, Nissan, Suzuki, Mitsu....know what I mean. It's always Hyundai, not only it's annoying for overseas viewers, but it shows lack self respect, as in, "I want to pronounce a certain word" my way, and my way only, and F the rest. That's just ignorance....just my thoughts.
@@SteveHarrellRally I'm sure you would like foreigners visiting your country to phonetically pronounce correctly your native language words, don't you? It's just common courtesy....
Here's a thought... Just buy a combustion engine, Instead of trying to replicate one. I know this doesn't make sense to the Californians.
You can't replicate all the advantages of an EV in an ICE vehicle.
All car enthusiasts in CA agree with you. We’re a gigantic state
Here’s a thought…What engine is Hyundai going to put in there that will reliably make 600-640hp?
Nor anyone with a working brain.
@@zeitgeist2720and get 100MPG
Idk who thought feeding in fake noise was a good idea, in any car. Smh
E-bus for you fools.
Leave the fake engine sound out. That is a joke to fake a engine sound.
They do it in gas polluters too.
@@BioniqBobVW?
There's lots of fast EVs from the likes of Tesla and Lucid. But there's a lot more to making a car fun than just making it bonkers fast, and Hyundai of all manufacturers seems to have figured that out.
