The reason why you heard Taeyang rap in Ringa Linga was because he originally trained as a rapper and was supposed to debut as a duo with G-Dragon named GDYB, but their YG senior SE7EN and YG himself heard him sing and saw his potential

GD produces not only his solo or Bigbang's, but Seungri's, Daesung's, GD&TOP's, and GDYB also. He is the main PD and he works in a lot of different genres. (but, yeah after lips, eyes, nose he was less participating in YB solo). but in RINGA LINGA is definitely a GD influence.
