Some people say it's just a commercial and others see it as a programming tactic. I say go with whatever you feel it is. I feel like everything these corporations/companies do has deeper symbolism behind it that can seep into a person's subconscious making them want to do things without truly realizing it. Like how certain fast food chains would use certain colors for their names. Who truly knows, but I like the deeper discussions you guys have. It's good food for thought.
Finally someone who understands the power of subliminal messaging. You do not have to consciously think about something for a thought to linger in the mind and influence your actions/spending decisions. They are implanting messages by invading our subconscious thoughts.

As an 18 year old female I’ve never had Snapchat, insta, tiktok or any of that and I’m so thankful for my parents bc they didn’t allow me to get it, and now that I have the choice to get it or not, I choose not to get it. Just seeing the kids nowadays being brainwashed by these things it’s just sad.

I completely get what y'all are saying, and I agree. Whether or not insta carts intentions is to make people essentially lazy, unproductive, etc, maybe it is, maybe it isn't. They could want people to just use this app if it's only "necessary" who knows, however I thinks it's always good to have balance in life, in general. Knowing when your doing something too much and knowing when you can do something that isn't gonna effect you negatively longterm, it's about learning self control and discipline to do better/better yourself so you can develop a balanced lifestyle, i'm not saying everyone is perfect or makes the right decisions everytime, but it's truly about having that realization saying "I shouldn't do this" and really applying it your life. We're human so you'll mess up alot the time and that's alright, as long as you keep trying to get better with each failure, that's all that truly matters.

That's exactly what happen with a Samsung comercial in which the main girl bought a flip phone because everyone had it and then the scene shifted to a guy buying a flip phone because he saw that the girl had it. Consumerism is enslaving people and most of them dont even realise how dangerous it is, like with this adv is literally telling us to our face that if everyone around you has something you are more likely to buy it which I true but sad because they profit on our animal impulse to fit in and it can lead to people getting in debt because they are blinded by the chase of being happy and fitting in 😥

I work for instacart and a lot of the people I deliver to don’t have cars or are older people who can’t do tasks by themselves or stay at home moms that have babies and don’t have time for the store or even business workers that work from 5am to 10pm and need to have food at the end of the day. I understand the tactics but also some stuff is made easier for the people that truly need it and the selfish people in the world just take too much advantage of it knowing damn well they can spend the 2 mins to drive down the road to get it. Its funny cuz just like two weeks ago I deleted all my food delivery apps, Deliveroo, just eat and uber eats cuz i went on previous orders and realised how much i had spent on deliveries in the past 2 years and was like damn I cant believe it was over 3k spent on delivered food which was such a wake up for me that like urgh cba to cook so lemme order and now i realise how lazy i became especially when both i love cooking and two i cannot be spending that much money on that when i haven't been able to do things that i wanted to as i couldn't afford it. Dude, I like Noah and Rob but Rhino... Rhino really got me thinking with his insight and experience. It's so easy to look past something like this commercial. I think that the goal for companies is to have everything be faster, like checking out and buying in less steps and have less things in the way for the purchase to be done faster to eventually get more sales, and I think its important sometimes to take a step back and ask yourself do I really need this?

I understand it's "just a commercial" and "it's not that deep" but I've been through/seen so many things where I literally thought how it related to those wall-e scenes, and it makes me so sad. It amazes me how many people my age do not understand this type of stuff (freshman in college) they’re so sucked into social media and are completely clueless of how things actually are in the world, the amount of times I’ll go to talk to people and it’s like they have TV static going on in their heads, the majority of people I’ve talked to have tiktok/insta personalities and their hobbies are just smoking,drinking, and partying, I have yet to meet one genuine person who isn’t a copy and paste personality like everyone else and sees the industries etc. for what they really are
honestly people your age have always been obsessed with drugs, drinking, and partying way before social media. even when social media wasn't that big I had trouble finding people who didn't smoke, drink, or party and I grew up in a very religious town
