  • We are proud to announce the release of the DCS movie, GABBY.
This is a 50 minutes movie based on the fighter career of Francis Stanley “GABBY” Gabreski. One of only seven pilots who survived two of the worst wars that USA has ever been involved in and became an American ace in the WW2 and Korean War.
The movie is divided in 5 chapters and focused on his memorable moments during the WW2 in his P47 and in the Korean War, flying the F-86 Sabre. Some of the characters and events in this movie were dramatized and a number of events fictionalized for cinematic purposes.
This movie has been a rather long project that took us more than a year and a half of work and a lot of effort from the team was put into it. Number of books were read, websites and docs consulted for accurate research; more than 40
accurate skins designed, hundreds and hundreds of voice overs and Terabites of recording clips plus thousand of sound effects were added. Without a doubt this is a unique piece of machinima!
As a result we get a movie as we’ve never seen before on CZcams. A movie inspired by true events, with a story line described by an amazing narrator that drives you from WW2 over the skies of Normandy to the Korean War Mig encounters.
From Hornet Productions we really want to thank all people involved in this movie. We know it was a hard work for some of you and a huge time dedication. We couldn’t have pulled this off without you. Thank you!
And the most important, we want to dedicate this to our followers and supporters and to all DCS World community. You all guys are amazing!
I hope you enjoy our work as much as we enjoyed producing it.
Dedicated to Miguel Ángel "GADGET" González
    R.I.P
We would like to specially mention to Pew Pew Meow, who did and astonishing work on their VO. Thank you for your time and effort!

I am writing this while I am enjoying the live premiere of the film that I would undoubtedly pay to see in a theater or on a digital platform like Netflix. I am speechless. This is another level. I can't imagine what you could accomplish if Eagle Dynamics upgraded the filming system to a more user-friendly one.
Thank you all for your work, guys. You have once again raised the bar for DCS movies. Take care and have safe flights.

I met Gabreski at the ‘95 Oshkosh Airshow. As a recent Notre Dame grad who’d just solo’d a couple weeks before, I was excited to meet some of these WW2 pilots, but didn’t really know who all of them were. Gabreski noticed my ND ring right away & we struck up a conversation. At that time, I didn’t know he was the leading ace in the ETO or that he’d attended ND as well. I also didn’t know that his wife had died in an auto accident 2 years before when they were driving home from Oshkosh. He was just another humble pilot sitting at a table next to Gen. Charles W. Sweeney signing autographs and shaking hands with clueless youngsters like myself. To think, I shook hands & chatted with our leading European ace and a couple minutes later with the Cmdr of the Nagasaki mission, the man who ended WW2. I now have 1/72 scale Corgi models of Gabby’s Spitfire and the P-47 he flew in your video, and a 1/144 model of Sweeney’s B-29 “Bock’s Car.” I only wish they could have autographed them for me. But it was enough that Gabby and I shared 4 years on the same wonderful campus and those few precious minutes at Oshkosh 95. RIP GABBY. Wonderful video - wish you’d have shown him in his beautiful Mk IXc Spitfire, 315 Polish Squadron. Cheers from Texas!

I cannot wait for the day ED decides to finally give us a decent replay and photo feature. if you guys can make this with the current state of DCS I don't even dare to imagine what you could do with proper tools. Well done keep going guys congratulations to everyone involved :)

Well done! A stupendous effort! It was a tough watch seeing those Luftwaffe fighters attacking those B-17s from the front knowing that's what happened in the skies over occupied Europe. Getting hit by 20mm and 30mm cannons is horrible, and unbelievably some bombers made it back sadly with mangled crewmen. Rest in peace to the fallen. Rest in peace 'Gabby' Gabreski, USAAF USAF Ret.🦅🦅

that was absolutely an amazing production and performance. the whole film was made beautifully. my grandfather was the Army Air Corp in WWII and when he passed away a few years back, he was the only remaining US glider pilot still living. this film reminded me of him, and the lessons that he taught me. and when I served in the army myself, and throughout my life, those stories he told me, helped guide me to become who i am today and taught me the lessons and stories he gave me become cherished memories of him. thank you for reminding me of one of the most important people in my life. thank you for the time and effort you put into this production. thank you for remembering and showing that veterans like myself,, veterans like my grandfather, like gabby, are not forgotten, and the sacrifices made by all veterans, aren't ignored. thank you. I wish you peace and success in all that you do in life. I hope that you stay safe and stay blessed and thank you again

Mate... I'm a bit late to the party on this one. But this was certainly something else. The amount of time, effort and quality you, and those who helped you, put into this is beyond amazing.
The only other DCS video that had me this engaged was the recent 'Eli 21' by Adrian Caparzo.
This one might go for a bit longer than most people are used to but it certainly deserves more than the 1200-odd likes and 33k views, it's one of the most quality "DCS movies" I've had the pleasure of watching - and this was was based on true events and people.
Well done, and I hope you intend to maintain your "DCS cinema" because if they're reaching this level of quality, I cannot wait to see what else you can do and what other stories you can tell.
