It said throw dany on some one who was fighting you not who fought you 😁👍 anyway nice video
Noice video, is it just me who liked it when he did the old republic star Wars?
it looks like a mix betwen bioshock and disonered
So... you're playing a game, while having a sponsor for a different game? Isn't that a little counter-intuitive? I didn't come here to learn about a mobile RPG... I came here to watch you play We Happy Few.
Maybe next time take a sponsorship from that ball shaver company or something.
@Keduit play elden ring
The game has a really interesting narrative, but all i could think was "damn, LSD kindda cool"
cuss it is
I did it once, 2 1/2 tabs, my brothers cat turned HD, but my homie was trippin trippin on 3 tabs. I have no clue why I didn't trip hard.
I did take an anti psychotic a month before, but it shouldve been outside my system
@@TerrariaGolem the trip is deferent for everyone. your matablism had an effect on how the trip goes
If you suffer from mental issues like me all it becomes is a prolonged good mood. So it becomes like super weed for a short term. Interesting time and I wouldn't mind again but it really didn't impress me.
@@effigytormented people tend to mix the effects of shrooms and LSD. LSD more music based and tends to very on the music. also fun as hell playing videogames on
Glad to see someone playing this game, wouldn't mind a part two
Lovely day for it
Should clear up soon I imagine!
This game is underrated and this game need a Sequel
Yeah.
Happiness is a choice! 🙂🙃🤣
This game is a completely inaccurate representation of Britain.
There is way too much colour.
To be fair, you only get the colour when you're on Joy.
And there teeth are straight
What's that yellow ball in the sky? I never saw that
@@killuazoldyck6852 Have you seen Alabama? I'm sure America has way more people with dorito teeth than us bro 😂
@@kendrickllama3231 we don't like being associated with the south. those crazies are their own fucking country
Genuinely a good game just the story is actively fighting against the gameplay
My complaint is the protag is so fucking annoying and it's buggy
Isn't that a bad aspect?
@@luisapaza317 yes, they're presenting it as one, is there an issue?
@@shwembo if you don’t like Arthur there are 2 other protags in the base game then another 3 for the DLCs, Arthur is sort of the “main character” overall tho
@@shwembo yeah Arthur is a straight up douchebag but I'd called it great characterization, the the game doesn't try to make him a "good guy" but he's not necessarily a bad *bad* person either, just a deeply flawed human being who's forced to atone for his past sins. watching him go along and push past his boundaries is truly interesting.
Arthur's ending almost brought tears to my eyes, theres' also 2 more playable characters in the main story, Sally and Ollie. Both with differents mechanics
@Yoshikage Kira >ok
Dont know why but i found the reply are quite funny
Arthur is a piece of work though. Not spoiling for those that haven't played the game but the game's narrative is different in the POV of Sally. Its the drugs, they mess with Arthur's perception of reality.
Who? Who it brought to tears LMFAOOOOO
What are the different mechanics
Can we take a moment to appreciate how organized his Steam library is?
I try

3:26 ironically enough having a photographic memory in the world of this game would actually put you at more of a risk

This game is so dystopian holy frick. My brother got this years ago and I never saw him play it and I never was interested until now…. Reminds me of like A Brave New World (I think the book is called) where literally everyone is on drugs to feel good and everything is automated and just hyper sexual. Can’t wait to give it a go now that I know what the game is actually about!
I think thats what the game is based about, the book.
Yeah, i believe Joy was inspired by Soma drug from Brave New World.
I continue to be amazed about how far your comedic timing has come. 😂
So glad someone is playing this game even now. When I first found it, I replayed it over and over again. It was fun discovering different quests I had missed the first time
This is one of my favorite games
Is an amazing game with an unique style
Same. Even if the gameplay can be a bit repetitive and the amount of bugs there are. And the loading times...
it basically pulled a Subnautica. or subnautica pulled a this I dont remember which came first nor do i care to look it up
But yeah, the direction they both ended up going i think ultimately saved them both. Feels like it let them focus on the narrative and gameplay once procedural generation was axed
Subnautica came out first, and subnautica had a pretty straightforward development. This game went through a bit of development hell because it went from a randomly generated survival game (to many peoples criticism), to a story based game. If I remember right, they had to redo a lot of the game very quickly and it ended up being rushed. Subnautica below zero had a rocky development though, having multiple complete rewrites of the story.
@@ayyyo2363 I'm probably in the minority here but this game on survival/sandbox mode was/is my jam. then again survival sims and stuff are my fav shit

The story is amazing, the fact that you can play as 3 characters in the "main stories" is really amazing, having different perspectives. The dlcs were also good, all 3 being unique, one having robot aliens, the other being a rockstar and the other is basically the aftermath of everyones story from the main game, the downfall, although the ending wasn't the best. If you ever playthe dlcs then please dont watch the 2nd dlcs trailer, since that basically spoils the entire dlc.
I was hyped when this game was announced at E3 and bought happy few back when it was in alpha a little before the clockwork update. At the time the dev's didn't really know what they wanted the game to be and were split in three ideas. Sandbox, survival, and story. For me finding a way off the island and figuring out what was going on is what sold me on the game and I love compulsion's art style so much too (especially contrast). The game isn't perfect but if your even a little interested, do try it.
I found it to be an addict simulator. Withdrawal and running from the cops constantly
Such an underrated game. It got deep lore, weird characters and some cool ideas gameplay mechanic wise, but sadly they haven´t been fully developed. Like the joy mechanic is cool and all, but it just feels like a light version of what had been promised
I enjoyed watching Markiplier play this. It has quite a twist!
For me this game tried to do so much at once and just became jumbled. I love it, love the music that came from it, love the music I’ve found cause of it, but gameplay wise it was trying so much of everything that it didn’t really become memorable.
Like Ark, Cyberpunk, Security Breach, etc.
@@LiamLovejoy but ark is memorable
Arthur's story is about his selfishness, Sallies story is about her dark past and how she was abandoned by everyone she knew, fortunately she has Gwen. Finally, Ollies story is about his goal to tell everybody to stop taking joy, that foods run out, and everyone will eventually die from starvation.
Great hidden gem of a game, glad to see it's getting more attention.
Part 2 would be much appreciated!
Woah, I haven't seen as many people playing WHF now a days! It's amazing to see a modern channel playing it- the DLC is a blast!
This game accurately depicts life in london
I will say, the dlcs are so much fun. Besides the last one, I really recommend you play them. They are more focused on characters you see from the story. Thanks for playing this!
Why besides the last one? IMHO that one was great as well
The last dlc was the best one, most people also really agree, i watched a full 2 hour video of the dlc from begining to the end and i also really loved it.

We happy few was litterally the only game i was so extremely excited for. When it launched it played like shit on ps4 but it was still amazing. Still one of my favorite games
I played it when I got the xbox game pass just to pass time and holy crap, this game is really good, the more you go the more interesting the story gets. By no means its a 10/10 but for me its like a 8/10, there are a lot of things that this game does really good and some bad, but overall its a great game to experience. I recommend it a lot if you haven't played We Happy Few before.
How lol the game is s broken mess apart from story. AI is a joke. Reminds me of a bad bioshock.
@@hifi8844 sounds like a you problem
@@unixerse297 how lol loads of people say the same thing.
love this game, really underrated imo
@@hifi8844 See, if you are searching for bugs and bad ai you will get them, if you play normally without abusing the game you wont encounter anything. I never did get a single bug in my entire playthrough.
Every game in the entire world has "bad ai" and bugs, some of them have more bugs others less, some of them have better ai some of them are worse.
I think they actually patched a lot of the bugs and made the ai better since launch so you should try playing it again
:0
Thank you for playing this game, I’ve been waiting for someone to return to it.
I find it to have such a cool atmosphere, even after Joy has worn off. The plot is interesting and I find the use of chapters adds to it’s vibes.
Awesome video!
Glad to see that daedric princes are cultured
i played this game way back when it came out on Xbox and my buddies and i loved this game - it's so much unlike any other game we ever played with its aesthetic etc, was really sad to see no one really played this game and it didn't get the attention it deserved for how unique and fun it was. i've had a small gut feeling one day in the future this game will have a small 'cult classic' type fanbase and people who never played it will go to play it years and years after its come out, maybe sparked by videos like these randomly bringing this game back from its grave and have it talked about again for people who never saw it.
10:28 he drinken da lean
I absolutely LOVED this game back in 2018, it has a very interesting narrative and gameplay mechanics I enjoyed quite a lot! I’m so glad to see someone bring some attention to it
This was a lot of fun to watch you stream, video turned out awesome too, you're the best kev
Im happy to see someone enyoing the game as i do, this is my favorite game of all time, the aestetics, the gameplay, the writing, the worldmaking its just a beautiful masterpiece.

9:27 did anybody else notice that the deceased person’s name is Danny DeFoe?
Love your videos so much! Keep it up, mate.
Yeah this game is pretty old.
I remember it took CZcams by storm, all the popular CZcamsrs played it
I remember when it was unfinished and barely had a story
I also remember most of the complaints being that it was buggy
I think before you could speed run the game and finish it in twenty or so minutes with bugs
Remember watching this game years ago , still is really nice I absolutely love the lore. Gives me a lot of nostalgia.
Whoa I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen a 1st person game where you can snuff out a family of muffled screaming with a pillow
This is a great concept. Feels very much like 1984 by George Orwell.
this is such an underrated game, i've known about it since alpha and been interested about it, it turned out to be really good in the end, this is the most unique survival game i've played
This game was something playing it, its so trippy that you cant experience it just watching the video, playing it is a whole another experience
Kevduit: “Imagine if the game ended right now”

I love this game and I am so happy that a big CZcamsr like you is doing a video on it. There hasn’t been any videos of this game since it came out.
This game was amazing, from setting to the differences with each character that actually made each campaign interesting, was a fun one to get all achievements in as well
Loved every weird bit of the game. The Voices are so well made !
dude i remember playing this game when it came out, so much nostalgia
there is side mission in this game where meat shop butcher capture you in a creepy house sending human bodies every day so you can process meat every day for his shop, that was terrifying
This is the first time I've seen this dude and I love him. Instant subscription. Definitely gonna binge his videos.

I feel like if it had a more linear gameplay it'd have succeeded a bunch more imo
I expected a bioshock vibe to make it really pop
I like this game so I'm so glad there are other people playing it to show off how good it is
I hope to see more of this tomfoolery, quite entertaining!
You know someone put over 100hrs into dying light 2, when they start looting everything around them in every game they play lol

I swear man this game is so underated
I definitely liked the dlc's of this game so much more than the 3 campaigns Storymode,
more linear, less open world and more story focused. But I did like Sally's Campaign the most :3
And the artstyle is still amazing
Dishonered meets Amnesia, a truly ambitious crossover
I've played the entire game and the dlcs as well. And honestly, I really enjoyed it. I was more interested in the story (since I love stories in games). It's a very underrated game, so I'm happy I see recent videos about this game.
EXACTLY how you play this game, excellent work Kev!
i remember watching playthroughs of this in 2018 but most of the playthroughs just didn’t continue after their first episode
i'm so glad this appeared on my recommended. i'll definitely try this game out when i can buy it!!
i played the early access game, and it made alot of sense, that is the main character feels lost and doesnt know, what the point of life is or what he is suppost to do. the fact that alot of the game world at that point, was open and empty, really suited the feel of the game. that is, the feeling of being lost or not knowing what to do or what would come next.
0:49 no man's sky is on fact one of my favorite games
This game needs to be more recognized.
I shall take your word for it.
dude really locked someone out their own house.
Never seen you before, loved the video! Subbed as soon as i heard the conker ost ;)
This feels like that "everyone is an assassin"-game, but here you accidentally assassinate ppl with pointy sticks and fryingpans when they blackmail you out of your socks.
10:23 I cant escape... the LEAN FOLLOWS ME EVERYWHERE. THE PURPLE POTION IS ETERNAL
I'm so sad they don't have plans for a second game, this one was such a rollercoaster to play from the early access to the full game.
Thought this game was a hidden gem, glad to see you playing it 💙
we happy few is definitely one of my favorite games ever, BUT i really wished we either saw a sequel that focused on the They Came From Below DLC that was not world-generated the way that base game WHF was. the world generation is by far the thing i hate the MOST, but the DLCs and the world inside of those are by far some of my favorite worlds in any game ever.
They Came From Below + We All Fall Down had especially great designs in terms of environment and the way things are laid out. if i could pick to have another WHF game, it would definitely be relating back to TCFB.
19:22 is classic british mischief. Every good fellow's had a friendly duel with a ruffian in the restroom at least once in their lives.
I watched this high and now I live in constant state of psychosis. Well thanks lad.
I can confirm that London is indeed littered with teacups and empty syringes.
Omg I love it when people still cover this game, it's such a rough diamond
I got to the second part of Arthur's story before I got distracted by other new games. Then when the trailer for the rocker guy's (lightbearer ?) dlc came out I wanted to come back but didn't have money for the dlc
I think I enjoyed the survival era of it. It was super hard to get anywhere, but it felt more concrete and less overwhelming. It did feel silly to have the areas divided into rectangles though. Anyway I bought the game for the psychedelic 60s fantasy feel, and kinda ended up getting a game that does the job better for me just recently (Deathloop).
Gotta return to this some day though. Has a lot of spirit!
5:50 "Welcome to Shell Beach" from the movie Dark City
The letters, what do they mean... the letters mason THE LETTERS WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!!
Never even heard of this game. Thanks for show casing it. Tea, drugs and frying pans? I'm definitely getting a copy of this masterpiece!
Oddly enough, I bought We Happy Few with all the DLCs on Steam during the winter sale despite me not owning a Gaming PC.
