- This was the hardest video I've ever had to film. Editing it, I felt like there was more I could have said or things I could have worded differently, but it's difficult to sit sit and try to sum up something like this and talk through the most challenging time of your life. I hope anyone going through a dark time could find some comfort in knowing they're not alone and I want to thank you and every one of you for your love and support. I love you.

Such a hard and brave decision to have made. I went through something similar and it’s so much more than a relationship ending, it’s like a hundred little deaths at once. I’m sure things feel uncertain, shaky and scary right now so don’t feel any pressure to put on the ‘right’ face. My friend once told me that she saw a broken bird’s egg on the grass in her garden and thought of me. She asked God why and felt him say ‘it had to be broken so something new could be born.’ Your days of soaring are coming, I promise!
Aww Louise, this really spoke to me. A hundred little deaths is exactly how it feels. I'm sorry you had to go through something similar because it is so painful, but I'm so grateful for you sharing your experience. That story about the bird's egg is just what I needed to hear. Thank you!

So sorry to hear of your situation. I too split up w significant other last year after 17 years of being together, married and having 2 kiddos together. It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I am stronger now than ever before. Head up girl, you got this! 😘

My heart breaks for you lovely, break ups are so awful! My ex dumped me a couple of days after I'd given up my favourite job, sold my flat and moved across the country for him because he said it would be better for us to live by his family. I didn't think I'd get over it but 3 years later, I'm in the best place I've been mentally and everything worked out for the best. It's not easy to hear but you will end up where you're meant to be ❤️❤️❤️

I'm so very sorry to hear this :-( life really does suck. I am going through a marital separation at the moment, and know how painful it is to be without the person you love. And to have given up your job and home, you will feel like you have been hit by a truck at the moment. The shock can be frightening. But like you say, you WILL be ok. Within 2-3 months you will feel way better and starting to know where you are going with your life . But in the meantime cry, scream, indulge yourself as pain needs to be worked through. Take care of yourself x

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. :( I am also going through a breakup right now, and it is so difficult. He was my only friend in the place I live at, so it is likely I will have to move. Losing a relationship is hard enough, but I think it's even harder to lose all of your future plans that you created with him. Girl, I've been there! I moved half way around the world to be with a man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and he bailed on moving with me. I was alone in a foreign country I went to because of him. Fast word 5 years, I'm immensely more satisfied with my life and happy than when I was with him and everything was good. I don't resent him any more, and I still care about him and wish him the best... but I feel like I dodged a massive... a MASSIVE bullet. I've ticked off the biggest item I've ever put on my bucket list, and love myself more than ever before. Allow yourself time and space to grieve your loss, then start focusing on what you want out of life and all the benefits this newfounf freedom is giving you.

I just got engaged 24 hours ago but it seems like I’m calling it off. I don’t think he is ready for a commitment. Babe I've been there...I was ready to give up my life to move to the Netherlands with my ex. I thought he was my soulmate. I absolutely adored him and have never felt a love like this before. Safe to say I thought he was the one. Anyway, around the time I was ready to go, he started backing out. We carried on long distance (UK to Amsterdam), but he obviously wasn't invested any more. The worst part was that he dragged it on for another year, while I was hanging on to the hope that we could stay together. I finally broke it off. And my god it hurt. The grief I felt was insurmountable. For two weeks, I didn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't work. All I could do was cry hysterically and live off a diet of coffee and cigarettes. I felt incredibly heartbroken. But now, years later, I don't think of him any more, and I thank God that it ended. Your soulmate is out there. It’s better now than after twenty years of marriage with kids and when you are just about to move to another country. That’s what happened to me and yes, I confirm we eventually are ok. You are still young and you have your life in front of you. If you really want to teach abroad, maybe you can organize a new adventure once you feel better. Things happen for a reason. The Universe probably has better plans for you. In the meantime, take all the time you need to recover. Big hugs from L.A. where the things are not as magic as they may look. Aimee Rebecca And I moved away from France to L.A. with my youngest, my oldest son moved to Japan for work. My younger son and I, we got to have this adventure. It was hard without the husband but doable. Just decide what you really want for yourself and try to find the way to make it happen. And it will happen.

No truly thank you hun. You believe it or not lifted me through a difficult time. If you remember I sent you a message, it was stating that your vlogs about Bahrain helped me. This was because my girlfriend lives out there. I needed info and visuals about Bahrain and your Vlogs helped for my visit out there.
What you don't know is that I too went through a breakup last year with an ex. The trip to Bahrain was to meet my new girlfriend and clear my head. Before the trip I did receive alot of negative from famliy as to why I'm going out to Bahrain. They said it was dangerous I shouldn't be going out there. It left me feeling unsure of what to do.
But truly Aimee nothing was going to change my mind once I saw your Vlogs. That and my girlfriends advice ensured I had a great time.
So you see Aimee I needed you then and I know there are followers including myself that will need you again. And sure enough we will be there for you always hun.

Aimee, sometimes we don´t understand why? But the Universe knows why, and you will appreciate it later. You are stronger than you think, even two years ago when you decided to go to the middle east by yourself. I know that is hard, but be grateful to Cody and the time you spend together because there is a lesson in it. The only advice that I can give you is One day at a time, and now you have to focus on where you want to be, in another country or even at home, you can choose. Life's a b@tch sometimes, at least you are back at home near your day one supporters (your parents). You've lived and taught in so many places and that was all you, not anyone else, you'll be back to your normal self soon and you'll come back recharged, no ones lives are normal atm thanks to covid anyway. This is just a blip and things happen for a reason, stay positive and true to yourself, things will work out. You deserve more than 10k subscribers (even though that's still quite a lot), what's up with that?

Thanks for your ‘opinion.’ Sharing my experience candidly has helped many other women dealing with similar experiences. I get messages from them every day. I actually went on to write a book following this, which was really therapeutic for me and helped others feel seen and comforted too. Sometimes sharing your sense of humanity with others and admitting to your faults and weaknesses is very powerful.
