First issued in 1847, William Wyon RA’s Gothic Crown is one of the most beautiful coins ever struck by The Royal Mint. Inspired in part by the Scottish artist William Dyce RA, the obverse and reverse designs are works of genius, produced by the engraver William Wyon at the very peak of his creative career. Coveted by Victorian numismatists and mostly collected straight from the Bank of England, only 8,000 silver along with a handful of gold coins were struck. Drawing on our unrivalled legacy, The Great Engravers continues with the first of two coins paying homage to the Gothic Crown. Based on the reverse of the original coin - an ornate quartered shield design that has a long tradition in British numismatics - it is a fitting tribute to one of the most talented engravers to work on British coinage. - Zábava

I've been watching Royal Mint videos on youtube. It looks like RM have been producing videos with a production company. Filmaking, editing and photography is something that I'm involved in. I wonder is the RM looking to appoint a Digital Content Creator?

I already know whats going to happen, i will load RM website at exactly 9am with a nice cup of coffee, be first in the queue and get to checkout with gleeful ease and my computer will run smoothly and not crash..... then i will wake up from such a lovely dream, realise its 8:58am, make an underpant dash downstairs in a cold sweat with the cats moaning thinking they are being fed first, my computer will have already crashed during the night and need restarting just as microsoft decides its performing an essential update, i will use every device at my panic induced disposal to finally log on 1 minute after 9 and be 24,052nd in the queue and will sit in a deluded stupor at the belief there will be any scraps left for when its my turn to marvel at what is no longer there while realising ive not gone to work and subjected my customers to the old "sorry im late, hope youv'e not been waiting long, oh what a busy morning ive had".... again!
Update; Obviously im asleep, i was 50th in the queue and bought both 5oz and a 2oz silver, hadn't realised i bought both 5oz!! But i have lol. My alarm will be going off very shortly im sure.

coins were never the same when they made them into fiat money(aka no silver/gold content)
